Hazards and Cautions
Intended use: This test can be used to screen for occult blood in a stool sample as a screener for bowel health and provides a preliminary test result based on a simple home self-test. It has been designed by experts to qualitatively detect levels of faecal occult blood. This means that while it will give you a good indication of whether you have bowel health issues that need investigating, you’ll need a secondary analytical test or consultation with a healthcare professional to confirm the status of your bowel health.
• For self-testing in vitro diagnostic use only. Do not use after expiration date.
• The test should remain in the sealed pouch until use.
• Do not eat, drink or smoke in the area where the specimens or kits are handled.
• Handle all specimens as if they contain infectious agents. Observe established precautions against
microbiological hazards throughout all procedures and follow the standard procedures for proper disposal
of specimens.
• The used test should be discarded according to local regulations.
• Humidity and temperature can adversely affect results.
• Keep out of the reach of children.
• Store in a dry place at 2-30°C (36-86°F).
• The dipstick test is stable until the expiration date printed on the sealed pouch.
