Brother Max has identified a potential safety issue with their Carry & Hang Nightlights following an isolated incident where the product overheated.

The incident is being fully investigated and due to the potentially serious nature of the risk Brother Max has taken a precautionary decision to recall this product until further notice.

If you are in possession of one of these products, you should stop using it immediately and unplug at the mains. Then return it to your nearest Boots store for a refund.

Little Live Pets Voluntary Precautionary Recall Notice

At Character Options Ltd, the safety of consumers is always top priority.

After being informed by the manufacturer Moose Toys of Australia, and purely as a precautionary measure, Character Options Ltd, has decided to voluntarily recall the Little Live Pet Lil Frog (SKU: 28217) and Lil Frog Lily Pad (SKU: 28218) products. This is due to a design defect which could cause a potential safety issue if the batteries are removed.

This voluntary recall is only limited to these two Frog products and does not impact any other items in the Little Live Pets range.

Consumers who have either of these products are asked to stop using them and arrange a return to Character Options. Although there is minimal risk of injury, they are asked not to open the Frog's battery compartment or remove the batteries. Please note that Boots only sold the Lil Frog Lily Pad product.

Moose, the makers of the product, and Character Options the distributors have made the determination, out of an abundance of caution, to issue the voluntary recall.

They recently became aware that small traces of glass have been found in one batch of this product (batch number 6T). As a precautionary measure, they are recalling all products with batch numbers 6T, 6F,6P and ask you to stop using it and dispose of it. Our supplier (Medela) has identified a potential safety issue with the detachable power plugs that come with the above products. As a precautionary measure they have launched a voluntary replacement programme for (Type G) detachable power plugs. This replacement programme is in response to a few isolated reports in which a detachable power plug reportedly broke apart as the plug was being removed from the wall, exposing live parts. These plugs were sold with the products from 2012 to September 18, 2016.

The pumps themselves are not affected, only the detachable plugs.

As a precautionary measure, Medela asks customers to comply with the following:

1.    While removing an affected power supply adapter from the socket, please remove the plug slowly and deliberately, apply as little force as possible, and handle the whole adapter with utmost attention and caution. If you apply a certain level of force, an affected detachable power plug might break apart.

2.    If the detachable power plug breaks, turn off the power source before removing it from the wall. Remove the detachable power plug from the power socket and do not use it before a replacement is sent to you.

3.    You may use the breast pumps Swing and Swing Maxi with batteries.

If you have an affected plug, please contact Medela immediately. They will send you a free plug replacement as soon as possible. Please keep the power supply base, which is not affected. Babymoov has noted a potential risk of the product’s central screw coming loose, which could lead to a lack of stability in the seat.

Cow & Gate is taking the precautionary measure of recalling one batch of Cow & Gate Sunny Start My First Banana Muesli from 10 months with a best before date of 27/09/2016.

The recall is in response to a small number of complaints regarding an insect found in the pack. As other packs in this batch may be affected, this product should not be consumed.

We are very sorry that this has happened. We maintain strict standards at our factory and we are committed to providing the highest quality products. We have launched an immediate investigation and we will be taking all necessary steps to prevent this happening again.

GSK Consumer Healthcare is recalling all MaxiNutrition® Cyclone Milk 330ml product, in all flavours, from consumers and retailers within the UK & Ireland. The decision to recall has been taken following an investigation after the company received some complaints regarding the safety of the product.

In a small number of bottles, some of the creatine in the drink has recrystallised and may be found in the product.

The quality of their products and safety of consumers is of paramount importance to GSK Consumer Healthcare. The company is investigating all reported incidents and undertaking a comprehensive review of the product formulation in order to resolve the issue.

No other MaxiNutrition® products are affected by this action. This only applies to MaxiNutrition® Cyclone Milk 330ml, ready to drink strawberry and chocolate flavours.

We would ask that you kindly return any MaxiNutrition® Cyclone Milk 330ml to your local Boots store for a full refund.

Boots Pharmaceuticals Wound Cleansing Wipes

As part of our ongoing quality monitoring we have discovered that one batch of our Boots Pharmaceuticals Wound Cleansing wipes are not of the standard we would expect.

We've found that some of the wipes have dark marks on them that have been caused during the manufacturing process. We'd like to reassure you that our product testing has shown that the wipes remain sterile. However as they are not of the high standard we expect we're asking that you return the wipes to your nearest Boots store for a replacement or refund.

The batch affected is marked with 2114 and an expiry date (or EXP) of 05-2019. This information is printed on the bottom flap of the box and on the bottom of each of the sachets on the reverse face. No other batch or LOT of product is affected.
