Boots Macmillan Information Pharmacists
Providing you or your loved ones with cancer information and support
If you or a loved one has cancer, having someone to turn to when you need help can make a real difference. That’s why many of our pharmacies now have Boots Macmillan Information Pharmacists, who are specially trained to advise you on living with cancer and provide support to you, carers, family and friends.
Discover ways we can support your needs
You may find that you want to ask questions about your medication or side-effects of treatment, or you may just want someone to talk to. Boots Macmillan Information Pharmacists are Boots pharmacists who’ve had extra training, developed by Macmillan and Boots, to support people affected by cancer. Their extra training helps them to understand your needs, which may not just be medical. They can also guide you to more specialist sources of information and support, both locally and nationally, depending on your needs. You don’t need an appointment to talk to them, simply drop by.

“When I had a very bad day, just being able to talk it out with a relative stranger helped.”
“The Boots Macmillan Information Pharmacist was so kind and gave me his time to put my mind at ease. I was really worried about the side effects that I had read about."
