From glow-boosting skincare to new season essentials to see you through spring and beyond, these picks are popular for a reason
Is it just us, or is it feeling a little bit brighter and lighter? Spring is definitely in the air and with it, the opportunity for a skincare and make-up refresh to help us see in sunnier and (hopefully) warmer weather.
For us, inspiration lies on the bathroom shelves of others, and so having a root through our bestsellers list feels like a pretty perfect starting point for some new season swaps. Whether you’re looking for a new daily SPF, a hard-working blemish buster, a staple top-up or a new go-to for glowing skin (er, yes please!), we’ve got you covered with some of our bestselling products* from February that will see you through spring and beyond.
Here are 8 of the bestselling beauty products from Boots.com in February
Try: The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (£5.60)
• Size: 30ml
This super serum contains calming and decongesting niacinamide and zinc, so is a welcome addition for anyone looking to smooth and soothe the skin. It works wonders at evening out skin texture and dialling down excess sebum if you’re feeling overly oily.
I bought this product around two weeks ago & use it every morning & night. I have seen a visible difference in such a short space of time, not only does my skin look smoother but it’s more even. No more redness or uneven skin tone.
The budget-friendly summer skin must-have
Try: Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Radiant Body Oil (£5.49)
• Size: 200ml
Give dry skin the boot with this nourishing body oil that not only smells divine but veils legs with a subtle sheen that leaves them glowing. As well as cocoa butter, it contains microdroplets of Vaseline Jelly that helps locks in moisture and prevent water loss throughout the day. So many benefits for such little money – we love a beauty bargain.
After my shower (before I dry off), I use just a tiny bit and rub it into my skin and then towel dry. My skin feels so soft after using it. Love, love the stuff. I’m 65 years old and I have very dry skin and this is the only thing that helps.
The high performance, low cost hydrator
Try: The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 (£6.40)
• Size: 30ml
If the change in seasons has left your skin feeling a little parched, give hydration levels a boost with this instant pick-me-up. It contains multiple molecular weights of hyaluronic acid, a humectant that draws moisture into the skin, as well as vitamin B5 to help quench your complexion’s thirst.
This serum is great! It leaves my skin hydrated and smooth. It’s glowing!
The exfoliating face wash
Try: Cerave SA Smoothing Cleanser with Salicylic Acid (£12)
• Size: 236ml
If you’re looking for a harder working face wash if you’re breakout-prone, your search is over. Formulated with salicylic acid, an oil-soluble exfoliant, it cleanses deep into pores while hyaluronic acid hydrates and ceramides help support the skin’s barrier. Top tip: try using it a couple of times a week at first to see how your skin adapts and avoid using other exfoliating acids or retinoids with it to keep risk of irritation to a minimum.
I love Cerave products and this cleanser is fantastic. It’s really gentle, but very effective
The skin rejuvenator
Try: Olay Vitamin C + AHA24 Day Gel Face Cream (£34.99)
• Size: 50ml
This moisturiser is jam-packed with skin-brightening actives – glow-boosting vitamin C, calming niacinamide and an exfoliating AHA to name but a few. The perfect power team for a dose of hydration and radiance. Just make sure to wear an SPF on top during the day as AHA can increase your sensitivity to the sun.
I use this night and morning and it’s left my skin silky smooth and bright. It’s also wonderful under make-up - I’m off to buy another one.
The SOS cleanse
Try: Boots Biodegradable Cucumber Cleansing Wipes, (£1)
• Contains 25 wipes
Whatever your evening plans, these wipes are useful to have on standby for removing your make-up before your head hits the pillow. Ideal for times when your usual cleansing regime is a far-fetched dream (hey, no judgement here) or for SOS moments, they leave skin feeling cool and refreshed.
I've been using these for about 13 years - I love them, they’re cheap and so good.
The non-clogging face cream
Try: CeraVe AM Facial Moisturising Lotion SPF25 (£13)
• Size: 52ml
Lightweight yet nourishing, this moisturising day cream won’t weigh you down. Containing three essential ceramides, it helps support your barrier function (the skin’s first line of defence against environmental aggressors), while its SPF25 adds a welcome layer of protection that sits well alongside your daily sunscreen.
I bought this after reading reviews online and I have to say, I've been very impressed! Not only is the texture great, but the bottle (with a pump) is easy to use and doesn’t take up lots of room so perfect for travelling.
The skin brightener (that won’t break the bank)
Try: Boots Vitamin C Brightening Moisturising Cream (£4)
• Size: 50ml
This cream’s legion of glowing reviews says it all really. The overarching sentiment? It offers great results at a great price point. Formulated to help soothe and brighten in one fell swoop, you’ll become a fellow fan in no time.
I've been using this product for over six months and I love it! I’ve finished four jars already. Highly recommend.
