Support from your pharmacist & pharmacy team

Pharmacies are great places to visit for health advice. No need to book an appointment – just pop into your local Boots at a time that works for you

For any minor health concerns you have, booking an appointment with your GP may seem like the obvious choice. Next time, though, why not think Boots first? Your local Boots pharmacist is a trained healthcare professional who can help with the use of medicines, managing minor illnesses and providing health and wellbeing advice.

Can a pharmacist help me with my medicines?

As well as offering health advice, our pharmacists can also help you better manage any medicines you’re taking – both over-the-counter and prescription medicines.

It's important to take prescribed medicines correctly especially when managing a long-term health condition. Sometimes making just a small change to the way you take your medicines can help them be more effective. If there’s been a change in the medicines you’re taking or you've recently been prescribed a new medicine, you may have questions. By having a chat with one of our pharmacists, they'll help answer your questions and make sure you’re safely getting the most out of your medicines.

Our pharmacy team may also be able to help if you’ve ran out of your medicines. If you’d like to collect your prescription medicines from Boots or have us deliver them to your home, we can also help arrange this for you. Your pharmacist can also offer healthy living advice to help you quit smoking, improve your diet and exercise, and help you maintain good sexual health.

Pharmacy services to support you

It’s not just your medicines we can help you with. We offer a large range of healthcare services in many of our stores. Chat to your pharmacist the next time you visit us to find out more.

Please don’t come into store if you, anyone in your household or support bubble have symptoms of COVID-19 or you have been told to isolate after contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19. Stay at home instead and follow the latest government guidance.

*Collect your medicines during opening hours only at your chosen Boots pharmacy, subject to stock availability.

**Please note, we are following government guidelines and, during busy times, we may need to limit the number of customers in store.
