What is seasonal flu?

Seasonal flu is a viral illness spread by coughs and sneezes. You can catch it all year round but it's more common in winter, which is why it's known as seasonal flu. It’s very contagious and can affect a large number of working adults of all ages.

How we can help you protect your employees against flu

The average employee missed 5.8 days of work in 2019.* Minor illness, including flu, is often the most common cause of short-term absence for the majority of organisations.**

There may be an increase in flu cases this autumn due to the lack of exposure to the flu virus last winter driven by reduced social interaction. Therefore, it is important to receive a flu jab.

How it works


Buy your e-vouchers online

Sign up or log into our online system. Choose the number of e-vouchers you'd like and pay online


We send out the e-vouchers to your employees

Using the information you've provided, we'll send your employees their personalised e-vouchers either by email or text


Employees receive their vaccinations

Employees enter the voucher code when booking their appointment online, then receive their flu vaccination at a participating Boots pharmacy at no cost to them†

Pricing structure 

1 - 9 vouchers: £14.99 per person.

10 - 300 vouchers: £11 per person or £10.50 if purchased before 30 June 2021.

301 - 999 vouchers: £10 person or £9.50 if purchased before 30 June 2021.

1000+ vouchers: £9 per person or £8.50 if purchased before 30 June 2021.

Frequently asked questions

Can I claim VAT on flu e-vouchers?

No, the service is exempt from VAT.

Are there any tax implications for providing flu vaccinations?

Seasonal flu vaccinations can usually be considered a minor and trivial benefit and therefore exempt from tax as a benefit in kind. However, we strongly recommend agreeing the tax treatment with your HMRC contact.

Can a refund be provided for any unredeemed e-vouchers?

Unfortunately, once e-vouchers are purchased they are non-refundable.

Are you able to provide details of which employees redeemed their e-voucher?

We are unable to provide details of which of your employees, or how many, received a flu vaccination.

Can the e-vouchers be used in the Republic of Ireland?
