How to use Step 1 - Wash your hands. Step 2 – To unwrap the tampon, pull and unravel the gold tear tape in the middle of the tampon, and remove the rest of the wrapper. Step 3 - Pull the string away from the base of the tampon and then give it a gentle tug to ensure it is secure. Step 4 - Use your fingertips to guide the tampon into place, aim up and backwards towards the small of your back. Step 5 - You’ll know the tampon is in place when you can no longer feel it. If you still feel it, you may need to push it further into place. Step 6 - Now wash your hands again.
To remove your tampon, simply pull on the string. Dispose of your tampon with your household waste or in a sanitary bin. Remember, not to flush your tampon down the toilet as this can cause blockages.
Hazardous For safe and comfortable use of tampons, read and keep the leaflet that is found inside every tampon pack. This is a rare but serious illness that may be fatal. More information on the risks and symptoms of TSS can be found in the leaflet provided inside tampon packs.
