Fantastic packaging
I bought the new concealer last week. The colour, texture&cover it gives is fabulous. I did use the one that no 7 had b 4. I think this one is a lot better because it is more your colour. Once you are matched up by the consultant.

MASSIVE FAIL No7
I bought this by mistake in store today, not realising they had replaced the other (AMAZING) 'instant radiance concealer' with this 'instant radiance under eye concealer'. I have used the previous one in shade I for many years, it was perfect. It was a very light pinky shade which really helped brighten under the eye and counteract darkness, but didn't leave you with a 'reverse panda' look because the consistency was so gorgeously light. Here are my issues with the new one:
1. The lightest shade #10# is a lot darker and more beige than the old 'I' shade. It does cover to some extent, but it left the lower ring of the under eye still dark and kind of highlighted its darkness. I find it really strange that they have made loads more shades #8 - the other only had 3 shades# yet they have managed to exclude a large UK population by making the lightest one probably only suitable for those with olive skin.
2. Difficult to blend. I always dot it on with the brush then dab it with my index finger and the old one used to adhere really well and blend seamlessly. With this one it kind of dabs off with your finger so you have to try really hard to get it to adhere seamlessly to your skin.
3. IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT. The previous one had rave reviews, a lot of people saying it was better than other popular/expensive brand #I agree because I tried the other really popular/expensive one before finding this one #the old version##. Why stop making something that has rave reviews.
4. Who has under eye concealer the same colour as their face anyway? The skin is totally different and needs a completely different shade/consistency. It needs to be lighter to counteract the darkness. Ironic really because the other one wasn't even called an under eye concealer, but this one is and it isn't suitable for under eye #on me anyway#.
Yes I feel strongly about this, because it annoys me when companies discontinue perfectly good products, just to replace it with something that 'sounds good' #style over substance#. It is time consuming and expensive trying out other products to find the next best one that suits my skin.
I needed to get this off my chest so that I don't take it out on the counter girl/boy when I go to take it back! #I wouldn't really!# Thanks for listening. I just hope I can get over this one day :-)

SO ORANGE AND NOT AS GOOD COVERAGE AS THE PREVIOUS VERSION
I have been using Instant Radiance concealer for many years and have recommended it time and time again to everyone I can.
It has, or should I say had, a seamless and flawless appearance, doesn't give you blemishes or spots and removes the need for any foundation.
In short I have sworn by it.
I was totally shocked to find that the product that has been a staple in my make up bag for more than a decade has had a 're-vamp' and for the worst too.
Having a pale complexion makes buying concealer really difficult as pretty much everything comes out too orange against my skin tone. You can now add Instant Radiance to the swathes of other products that believe that women come in 50 shades of orange!
Do not buy this product and if you do and are equally horrified when you have that awkward moment in the lifts at work when you realise you look like you may be unwell or rubbed your eyes with fake tan hands then please join with me in asking that the original shades be added to the colour spectrum of the new concealer!
