Boots Macmillan

Affected by cancer?
We're just moments away

From the moment you’re diagnosed, through your treatment and beyond, we’re here to offer support.

Together, Boots and Macmillan Cancer Support, want to give everyone, everywhere, the cancer information and support they need in a place that’s reliable, familiar and trusted. That’s why Macmillan have helped to train over 4,200 of our pharmacists as Boots Macmillan Information Pharmacists. This training helps them to understand more about the impact of a cancer diagnosis, treatments and how to support people living with, and affected by cancer.

Living with cancer can sometimes feel like an emotional rollercoaster; for those living with cancer and also for their family, friends and carers. There can be difficult moments, scary moments and confusing moments amongst others, so we want to make sure that someone who can help is just moments away.

In the UK, someone is diagnosed with cancer every two minutes, but now, someone who can help can be accessed in every Boots pharmacy*

Whether you need help with medication, need information on supporting someone through chemotherapy, perhaps your treatment is finished and you’d still like support or you want to talk to someone because you know your body and something doesn’t feel right, you can talk to one of our Boots Macmillan Information Pharmacists.

You can now access Boots Macmillan Information Pharmacists in every Boots pharmacy.*

If you prefer to access support from the comfort of your own home, we also have ‘virtual’ Boots Macmillan Information Pharmacists where you can book an online video call appointment for free. Find out more here.

*Free support. No appointment necessary. Subject to pharmacist availability. In the event of a Boots Macmillan Information Pharmacist not being available when you visit, store team members will help you to access a Boots Macmillan Information Pharmacist either in another store, online, or by telephone, to ensure you get the help you need.

From Thursday 14 October - Sunday 17 October 2021, Boots colleagues, No7 and Boots Opticians are ‘doing their bit’ for Macmillan Cancer Support by fundraising in Boots stores. In 450 Boots stores across the UK, our No7 Boots Macmillan Beauty Advisors have created three make up looks that will be on offer to customers on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of that weekend, with a suggested donation of £2 in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. And in a selection of Boots stores, you can even take selfies showcasing your new look with a selfie backdrop to share with others who might want to come along and join in!

All Boots customers can get involved so come along to your local Boots store to see what fundraising activities are going on near you and donate to this amazing cause. Or, if you can’t make it to a Boots store, you can donate online using the links below to support Macmillan. 100% of any donations you make in store or online go to Macmillan Cancer Support so that they can do whatever it takes for people living with cancer.

With the help our customers, team members and suppliers, Boots has raised over £19 million for Macmillan Cancer Support. You can also make donations to Macmillan Cancer Support at the tills in Boots stores or via Macmillan collection cans on display in many stores.
