Suitable for

Adults and Children aged 1 year and over.

Age Restriction

You must be at least 16 years old to purchase this product.

How to use

Please read the enclosed leaflet carefully before use.

Check the seal is not broken before first use. If it is, do not take the medicine.

Adults and children of 5 years and over: Two 5 ml spoonfuls three or four times a day.
Children of 1 to 5 years: One 5 ml spoonful three or four times a day.

Do not give to children under 1 year.
This medicine should be swallowed.
Do not take more than the amount recommended above.
If symptoms do not go away talk to your doctor.
If you take too much: Talk to a pharmacist or doctor.

If you need more advice, ask your pharmacist.

Hazards and Cautions

Do not take:

• If you are allergic to any of the ingredients in this medicine

You can take this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Possible side effects
Most people will not have problems.

If you get any of these serious side effects, stop taking the medicine. See a doctor at once:

• Difficulty in breathing, swelling of the face, neck, tongue or throat (severe allergic reactions)

Information about some of the ingredients:
 

This medicine contains 4.2 g of total sugars per 5 ml spoonful. This should be taken into account if you have diabetes.
This medicine contains less than 1 mmol sodium (23 mg) per 5 ml, that is to say essentially 'sodium-free'.
This medicine contains 10 mg of sodium benzoate in each 5 ml which is equivalent to 2 mg /1 ml. Sodium benzoate may increase jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes) in newborn babies (up to 4 weeks old).
This medicine contains glucose. This may be harmful to the teeth. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine.

Storage
Do not store above 25°C

Keep all medicines out of the sight and reach of children.
Use by the date on the end flap of the carton or on the label edge.

Precautions
This is a medicine;

• Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have an underlying medical condition, are taking any other medication or complementary therapy, or if symptoms persist
• Seek advice before using if you suffer from allergies

Ingredients

Active ingredients: Each 5ml of oral solution contains Glycerol 0.75 ml, Liquid Sugar 1.93 ml.

Also Contains: liquid glucose, purified water, citric acid, sodium benzoate (E211), flavours (treacle, liqourice, aniseed).
