How Livi works
1. Download the Livi app
Search ‘Livi’ in the App Store or Google Play Store.
2. Sign up and select your NHS GP practice
If you are not eligible to use the free NHS service, simply choose the pay-as-you-go service.
3. Book an appointment at a time to suit you
You'll need to take a selfie before your first appointment, and answer a few security questions to verify your identity. Enter the promo code BOOTS10 when booking to get your £10 Boots discount on pay-as-you-go GP appointments.
4. Get medical advice and referrals, plus prescriptions
The Livi online GP can offer medical advice, prescriptions** (for collection at a pharmacy of your choice, which could be Boots) and a referral to a specialist if they suggest you need to be seen in person.
GPs you can trust
All of the GPs available for your online consultation are registered with the General Medical Council. As qualified healthcare professionals, they’ll be able to access your summary NHS information, where available. This means they will make sure any medical information can be added to the digital healthcare system if you need to be referred.
People use Boots Pharmacy – as they have been doing for the last 170 years – as they trust us to provide them with health advice relating to queries, questions and needs. Through the partnership with Livi, we can offer a route to gain access to advice and guidance that may help ease the pressure on the NHS in these times of heightened need.
The service provides access to a GMC registered GP who has access to NHS summary information and can ensure that, where needed, the NHS journey can continue – but, where necessary, to divert it to another healthcare professional (either within the NHS or privately if you choose).
Boots is working with a number of healthcare providers during this time of national need to make services available to those who need them, and find ways to direct our customers to the most appropriate patient journey and solution.
