Product description

Colour B4 hair colour remover is the safest and most effective way to reverse an undesirable hair colour application. Colour B4 shrinks the artificial dye molecules in the hair, enabling you to simply wash them away. What's more Colour B4 does not touch your natural hair pigment so you are left with the colour which lay beneath your artificial shade.

  • Colour B4 takes you back to your lightest shade.
  • It will return your hair to its natural colour if the artificial hair colour applied is darker than your natural level.
  • If the artificial hair colour applied is lighter than your natural colour, the natural pigment within your hair has been chemically lightened
  • Although Colour B4 will remove the artificial dye, you will still notice your natural hair colour has lightened.

In this situation (and to re-create your natural shade) simply select a hair colorant close to your own natural depth and tone. However, always select by one shade lighter than your (natural) depth to ensure a realistic result.

Colour B4 was formulated to work successfully removing permanent colour in 20 minutes. Therefore this was originally the stated recommended processing time. However, following 12 months consumer feedback, it has been shown that for stubborn colour build up, a longer processing time may be required. They have therefore updated its user instructions to recommend up to 30 minutes for Regular.

The original 20 minute recommendation is still valid and in the vast majority of cases this processing time will be sufficient. The updated instructions simply reflect consumer feedback by confirming that longer processing times can safely be used where appropriate.

Safe Your Money Bought tihis item after reading other reviews, as had colouring mishap. The colour afterwards was maybe a shade lighter. COMPLETE RUBBISH for a tenner Had more luck just using Lemon Juice & Conditioner. 21 October 2009
Really pleased! Just blow dried my hair after following the Colour B4 instructions (exactly!) and i'm really pleased; it rinsed out ALL of the mousy brown permanent pigment I used 5 days ago, just as advertised. And i've been left with highlighted blonde, which is ten times better! However, as I had ash highlights all over my naturally blonde hair, the final colour is very brassy - which is mentioned as an expectation on the instruction leaflet. However, this can be corrected very quickly with an ash toner - i'm going to the hairdresser's! - so all in all a very impressive product. Just be warned that if you've got dyed v.blonde or platinum hair it may look yellowy after the final rinse, but don't panic like I did, it's very easily and cheaply corrected either with a toning shampoo or a hairdresser. 20 January 2010
Result! Have been colouring my hair with Boots Semi-Permanent Dark Brown for the last couple of years and thought I would gradually go lighter as befitting my advancing years! Used Casting Walnut which was described as medium brown on the box, thought I would then use the Honey Brown next time and end up with my chosen colour. How wrong I was! My flat, dull hair couldn't have been any blacker if it was black! Purchased B4 and a pack of Boots Golden Brown Semi-Permanent as a back up. Nervously applied it this morning and I am left with golden brown hair so wont be needing the colourant. I only noticed the rotten egg smell when I did the sensitvity test so didn't think it was too bad during application. I would say that my hair feels coarser now but will try some deep conditioning mask on it later. Has it returned my hair to its original colour? To be honest I couldn't say as it must be at least 20 years since I saw it. It isn't an ideal colour now but I can live with it. All I all I am very satifisfied with the result. 17 April 2010
