Why day & night moisturisers?
The skin has different functions during your waking and sleeping hours. During the day, the skin’s main role is defence, protecting us from external aggressors linked mainly to our environment and our lifestyle (UV, pollution, air conditioning, cold, heat, etc.). It acts as an active shield. That’s why our day creams contain protecting ingredients such as our anti-pollution complex and often an optional SPF as well as specific ingredients relevant to the range.
The anti-pollution complex includes organic white horehound extract to reinforce the skins antioxidant defences, furcellaria extract to protect skin from dehydration caused by pollution, and nipplewort extract to help reduce oxidative damage.
At night, the skin is mainly concerned with repair and renewal. Therefore, our night creams will contain ingredients that complement the night-time functions of your skin. Ingredients like golden poppy (for repairing daily damage), moonstone hydrated silica (for nocturnal regeneration), squalane (for protecting against night-time water loss) and organic sea lily (to prevent dehydration in the night during menopause) are just some of the ingredients that are specifically chosen for night.
Using both a day and night cream ensures the skin receives the correct ingredients and care 24 hours a day.
