How to use
To minimise swelling and reduce pain after injury use the following techniques.
P - Protection - Protect the affected area from further injury; for example, by using a support.
R - Rest - Avoid exercise and reduce your daily physical activity for the first 72 hours.
I - Ice - Apply an ice pack to the affected area for 15-20 minutes every two to three hours. Wrap first to avoid it directly touching the skin.
C - Compression - Use a support to apply compression helping to reeduce swelling.
E - Elevation - Keep the injured body part raised above the level of the heart whenever possible. This may also help to reduce swelling.
Hazards and Cautions
Do not wear knee support if warming or heat generating liniments, ointments or creams have been applied. Do not wear this product overnight or whilst sleeping.
NOTE: The support should be sized correctly to ensure maximum benefit. If the support is being used following an injury seek medical advice if no improvement is seen within 72 hours. If the injury is severe or if in any doubt seek medical advice immediately.
