Very Little Comfort & A Bit Like Fruit Pastilles Bought these as an emergency due to loss of voice and after traditional home remedies, eventually tried these out for additional "soothing" comfort. Nothing like the product Boots used to sell in soft packs with a liquid centre in 2011 though! These pastilles are too over priced when considering other well known "traditional" brands that Boots also sell. Severely disappointed with these despite being very fruity, very tasty and very morish. They taste like Rowntree's blackcurrant fruit pastilles! I got very little comfort with these and like the confectionery, they also stick to my teeth. Can't believe Boots would have the audacity to change a previously, winning formula. March 25, 2015
works well, drug free and no side effects! i have a lot of allergies to painkillers etc so i cant take any of the over the counter cold or flu remedies which makes my life extremely difficult especially now because i have laryngitis and an ear infection. i spoke to a sales consultant in boots called margaret and she suggested that i try the glycerin pastilles. i admit i was a sceptic but was pleasantly suprised with how they are really helping get my voice back. they werent that expensive either and because they are drug free, there is no drowsiness either or other side effects. children would even like the taste of these too. i would recommend these to anyone who has problems with allergies. you can always take these as a top up to over the counter remedies too! Nice alternative to strong throat drops This can be like a fruit pastille so as much as you're tempted to chew, suck on the pastille and it does give you a non medicinal soothing effect. It doesn't numb the throat like others. So if you prefer something light and soothing then you will like this January 19, 2016
