Boots Digital Scales
Handy palm sized electronic scale can weigh up to 50kg/110lbs and is accurate and easy to use with an extra function to measure current ambient temperature (°C or °F). The display flashes 3 times to confirm a weight has been recorded correctly. A handy ‘auto power off’ function means the Scale will close down after 2 minutes, preserving precious battery life.
How to use
1. Turn your scales on by pressing the on/off button once. The display will read “0.00”. 2. Lift smoothly with the scales horizontal and hold the scales steady until the display flashes 3 times, indicating that the weight as recorded successfully. 3. Lower the case to the floor and read the weight. The display will automatically switch off after 2 minutes. 4. Press “Units” to toggle between metric and imperial weights and the temperature function. 5. Press “On/Off” to reset.
Hazards and Cautions
Read all information and instructions before use and only use as directed. Safe Lifting • Always stand with your luggage at your side. • Keeping your back straight, bend your knees and lift the case just off the ground so that it hangs freely. • Lower the case to the ground keeping your back straight. Batteries • Keep batteries out of reach of young children. • Seek medical advice if you believe a battery has been swallowed. • If battery leakage occurs and comes in contact with the skin or eyes rinse well with water immediately. • Caution – Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced.
Do not allow children to fit batteries without adult supervision. Ensure that the batteries are fitted the right way around, observing the + and - signs on the battery and the product. Do not attempt to revive batteries by heating, charging or by other means. The supply terminals are not to be short circuited. Battery Storage: Store unused batteries in their original packaging away from metal objects. Do not mix or jumble loose batteries. Never short circuit batteries i.e. do not connect the + and - terminals together. Remove batteries if equipment is not going to be used for extended periods of time. Store batteries in a well ventilated cool dry place away from direct sunlight. Battery Disposal: Remove exhausted batteries promptly and dispose of at a waste battery collection facility. Do not put batteries in fire. Never puncture, crush, dent or dismantle batteries. Do not attempt to revive batteries by heating, charging or other means.
