General Boots Advantage Card scheme conditions
  1. The Boots Advantage Card scheme and Boots Advantage Card associated clubs and benefits are operated by Boots UK Limited, Nottingham, NG2 3AA. Registered in England & Wales: company no. 928555. Please do not send correspondence to this address.

  3. Boots can cancel, withdraw or alter the scheme at any time, including these terms and conditions or any individual Boots Advantage Card account
  4. All Boots Advantage Cards belong to Boots
  5. The UK Boots Advantage Card scheme is only valid in UK Boots stores and at boots.com
  6. We do not issue additional cards for the same account
  7. If we identify that you hold two or more Boots Advantage Card accounts, we may merge them into one account at our discretion
  8. The Boots Advantage Card scheme is for personal use only; business use is strictly prohibited and constitutes abuse. Boots reserves the right, at point of purchase or retrospectively, to determine whether a transaction constitutes business usage
  9. Boots can take any action it considers appropriate, including removing or suspending a Boots Advantage Card account and points accrued if we have reason to believe you are abusing the scheme or associated clubs and offers
  10. Use of additional offers and benefits associated with your Boots Advantage Card account are subject to store and online network availability
  11. Boots will remove Boots Advantage Card points from registered Boots Advantage Card accounts that haven't been used for two years or have been closed
  12. All physical plastic Advantage Cards should be registered with Boots. After one year, Boots will remove the Boots Advantage Card points on unregistered cards that haven't been used.
  13. To benefit from the Boots Advantage Card scheme you must be a United Kingdom resident aged 13 years or over. Boots will not communicate with a customer until an appropriate age of consent is reached.
Data protection
  1. Walgreens Boots Alliance is committed to protecting your privacy. We will always keep your personal information safe, will never sell it to third parties and will only send you marketing material if you have agreed we can do so. To enable us to provide and inform you about our products and services, we share your information between companies in the Walgreens Boots Alliance group and with external businesses working on our behalf in the UK and abroad. We may share it with NHS bodies where we have a legal obligation or duty of care to do so, or if you have asked us to register you for an NHS service such as the NHS Organ Donor Register. Please refer to our privacy policy for full details of how and why we use your personal information
Temporary Boots Advantage Card
  1. A temporary Boots Advantage Card can only be used to collect points. You must use your permanent Boots Advantage Card to be able to spend the points that you have collected
  2. You must apply for your permanent Boots Advantage Card within three months of first using your temporary Boots Advantage Card, otherwise all points collected on your temporary card will be lost and no further points can be assigned to this card
  3. You must stop using your temporary Boots Advantage Card as soon as your permanent card arrives
  4. Some offers are only available to permanent Boots Advantage Card members
  5. It's up to you to keep your temporary Boots Advantage Card safe; photocopies will not be accepted
  6. If you lose your temporary Boots Advantage Card before you apply for your permanent Boots Advantage Card, the points collected will be lost
Collecting Boots Advantage Card points
  1. The standard number of points you will collect are four Boots Advantage Card points for every £1 you spend on qualifying purchases; however the number of points collected can vary, eg for Boots Opticians and Boots Hearingcare, you will collect one point for every £1 spent. See our ‘third party’ sites for details. In store, points will usually be added to your Boots Advantage Card account at the time you buy products and services included in the scheme
  2. If you forget your Boots Advantage Card, please ask the cashier to validate your receipt. You will need to provide the validated receipt within 30 days of the transaction with your Boots Advantage Card to be able to collect your points
  3. After shopping online on boots.com, your points will automatically be uploaded onto your Boots Advantage Card account within five days of your products being dispatched
  4. After shopping online at other ‘third party sites’ points may take longer to be awarded. Please check individual sites for details
  5. Points are not available on NHS prescription, private prescriptions excluding those that are associated with a pharmacy service and selected dispensary items, infant milks (up to six months), gift cards, plastic bag levy and Boots Insurance and Travel Services and Professional discount cards. In addition, points are also not available on gift boxes, charitable merchandise and delivery charges for purchases made online
  6. Points are not available on gift cards except during special promotional events
  7. During Boots Advantage Card points events, both in store and online, existing points promotions will not be multiplied
  8. Boots Opticians products and services are excluded from promotional points events
  9. Boots UK Limited reserves the right to withdraw points promotions/offers without notice
Spending Boots Advantage Card points
  1. One point is worth one penny to spend on products in store and online at boots.com. We will not exchange Boots Advantage Card points for cash and the offer is non-transferable
  2. Points cannot be spent on prescription and selected dispensary items, Pharmacy services, selected medicines, infant milks (up to six months), gift cards, postage stamps, mobile phone top-up cards, gift boxes, delivery charges, charitable merchandise, at our ‘third party sites’ Boots Kitchen appliances, on Boots Opticians products and services, Boots Hearingcare or on Travel Services and Boots Insurance, bootsphoto.com, bootsdesignersunglasses.com and bootspersonalisedgifts.com
  3. You must have enough Boots Advantage Card points to cover the cost of the product; you cannot make a part payment of points towards a product or service
  4. Boots reserves the right to ask for identification such as driving licence or bus pass when spending points
  5. You will not qualify for Boots Advantage Card points, extra points offers, or discounts that are related to Boots Parenting Club, More Treats for Over 60s or any other scheme, offers, benefits, products or services when you pay with points
  6. We reserve the right to substitute or remove products and services available for Boots Advantage Card points collection and redemption in store and/or online without notice
  7. Spending points may be subject to network availability in store or online
Returning goods
  1. If you return a product for a refund, we will deduct the number of points collected from your Boots Advantage Card account
  2. If a product you buy with Boots Advantage Card points is faulty, please return it to any UK Boots store. If necessary, we will credit your account with the right number of points. No cash refund will be given in these circumstances
The NHS Organ Donor scheme
  1. Boots Organ Donor Registration Scheme is run in partnership with NHS Blood and Transplant
  2. If you have chosen to register as an organ donor you will be adding your name to the NHS Organ Donor Register. Joining through Boots also means we will print the organ donor symbol on the reverse of your Boots Advantage Card and pass your personal information by secure data transfer to NHS Blood and Transplant, who will contact you to confirm your organ donation preferences and add your details to the NHS Organ Donor Register
  3. If you would like to register/remove yourself from the NHS Organ Donor Register at a later date, please contact 0300 123 23 23 or visit www.organdonation.nhs.uk and fill in the form asking to be registered/removed
  4. If you would like the symbol adding/removing from your Boots Advantage Card at a later date please contact Boots Customer Care on 0345 124 4545†
  5. From December 2015, people living in Wales are automatically opted in on the NHS Blood and Transplant register according to government legislation. If you wish to opt out visit www.nhsbt.nhs.uk or call 0300 123 23 23
About the Boots Parenting Club and Over 60s Rewards
  1. By completing your due date/child's details or selecting the preference in the Over 60s Rewards section on the Boots Advantage Card sign up form, you confirm that you would like to join Boots Parenting Club or Over 60s Rewards. 
  2. If you want to join Boots Parenting Club or Over 60s Rewards, you must consent to be mailed. By providing your contact details, you confirm you are happy for us to communicate with you by post, email and text message or receive associated newsletters. This will override any other previous mailing preferences
  3. We reserve the right to amend or withdraw Boots Parenting Club and/or Over 60s Rewards and the associated benefits at any time and without notice. Partners may change at any time
  4. After your membership of Boots Parenting Club ends, Boots will use the information you have given us about your child to continue to provide you with relevant offers and information, but we will only send you marketing material if you have agreed we can do so
  5. 8 points offer is valid in store and online for Parenting Club and Over 60s Rewards members
  6. Any offers you receive are non-transferable and not exchangeable for cash, alternatives will not be offered
  7. Boots Parenting Club, Over 60s Rewards deals and Boots Advantage Card points offers are subject to network availability
  8. Boots reserves the right to determine which products should be included in this offer
  9. Promotions for double/triple points may be offered; during these promotions, members of Over 60s Rewards and Boots Parenting Club will only receive double/triple four points per £1 plus an additional 4 club points spent on qualifying items. 8 points per £1 will not be doubled/tripled during these promotions
Over 60s Rewards
  1. Over 60s Rewards is free and exclusive to UK Boots Advantage Card members aged 60 or over
  2. To collect eight points for every £1 you spend on Boots-branded products and selected exclusives every time you shop in store and online, you will need to be signed up for Over 60s Rewards. Once you have signed up, please allow four days for us to update your Advantage Card and then you will be able to collect eight points for every £1 you spend on Boots brands and selected exclusives
  3. Selected exclusives include: No7, Botanics, Your Good Skin, Soap & Glory, Natural Collection, CYO, Soltan, Smooth Care, Tea Tree & Witch Hazel, Boots Staydry, Boots Expert, Boots Extracts and Boots Lift. Offer excludes bundles.
  4. You must present your permanent Boots Advantage Card each time you shop to receive the eight points per £1 offer. The eight points offer will not be awarded retrospectively
  5. Eight points offer excludes prescription and selected dispensary items, infant milks (up to six months), gift cards, Boots Opticians products and services, Boots Hearingcare, Boots Kitchen Appliances, plastic bag levy, Boots Insurance and Travel Services and Professional discount cards. In addition, points are also not available on gift boxes, charitable merchandise and delivery charges for purchases made online. Eight points per £1 isn't available on in-store ordering
  6. Promotions for double/triple points may be offered; during these promotions members of Over 60s Rewards will only receive double/triple four points per £1 plus an additional four club points spend on qualifying items. Eight points per £1 will not be doubled/tripled during these promotions. For products and services on points promotions you will only receive the fixed number of points advertised. No additional points will be collected
  7. If you are a member of Over 60s Rewards and Student Discount, you will receive 10% discount and four points per £1 on applicable purchases
  8. Anyone over the age of 60 is also entitled to receive 25% discount at Boots Opticians. This discount will be applied when you purchase a complete pair of glasses or prescription sunglasses. You do not have to be a member of Over 60s Rewards to claim this offer. You will need a valid prescription. Valid on 1st pair only and can be used with half price additional pairs offer but not in conjunction with any other offer. Offer excludes £40 and £50 frame range, ready-made reading glasses, re-glazes and safety eyewear. Discount is not transferable, cannot be used retrospectively and no cash alternative is available. 
  9. Members are also entitled to 200 points when you take a free Hearing Health Check at Boots Hearingcare; this cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Applies to one hearing check only. No cash alternative is available. To claim 200 points when you take a free Hearing Health Check at Boots Hearingcare you must present your Boots Advantage Card and proof of age such as a driving license, bus pass or passport at your appointment. Boots Parenting Club offers
  1. Boots Parenting Club is free and exclusive to UK Boots Advantage Card members who are pregnant or have a child under five years of age
  2. To collect 8 points for every £1 you spend on baby products every time you shop (excluding infant milks up to six months and bundles), you will need to be signed up to Boots Parenting Club and have the 8 points offer activated on your Boots Advantage Card account. Your 8 points offer will be activated within 72 hours of joining
  3. You must present your permanent Boots Advantage Card every time you shop to receive the 8 points offer. The points will not be awarded retrospectively
  4. Additional offers and gifts all take the form of coupons to be redeemed in store or online and are subject to availability. Further conditions may apply to each offer, and these will be clearly explained on the coupon for each offer that is sent to you. Offer excludes bundles.
  5. Promotions for double/triple points may be offered; during these promotions, members of Parenting Club will only receive double/triple four points per £1 plus an additional four club points spent on qualifying items. 8 points per £1 will not be doubled/tripled during these promotions. For products and services on points promotions, you will only receive the fixed number of points advertised. No additional points will be collected
  6.  If you are a member of Parenting Club and Student Discount, you will receive 10% discount and 4 points per £1 on applicable purchases
  7. 8 points per £1 is not available on in-store ordering
  8. We reserve the right to stop sending the free Boots Parenting Club mailings and magazines if you do not continue to buy baby products
  9. In order to be eligible for free gifts, Parenting Club members must also download the Boots App and activate the free gift offer. We may also choose to send Parenting Club members coupons with free gift entitlement through the post, if applicable.
  10. The Parenting Club free sign up gift can take up to two weeks to load in the Boots app. Gift available while stocks last, in selected stores only
  11. Receive 8 points per £1 on children's vitamins and children's dental until February 2020. Excludes products only suitable for ages 5 and over. Standard exclusions apply
Student discount

• The Boots Student Discount offer is free and exclusive to UK Boots Advantage Card members who are students holding a valid NUS Extra/TOTUM card or University/College student ID card with a specified expiry date.

• The 10% discount is not available on NHS prescription, selected dispensary items and Pharmacy Services, all infant formula milks, all Dyson branded products, Chanel products, mobile phone top-up cards, gift cards, postage stamps, Boots insurance (excluding travel insurance), Travel Services, Boots Hearingcare, bootsphoto.com, third party websites and the plastic bag levy. In addition, 10% discount is also not available on gift boxes and delivery charges for purchases made online.

• Student Discount can’t be used in conjunction with Staff Discount cards, or Contact Lens Rewards Scheme. If you are a member of Parenting Club and/or Over 60s Rewards and Student Discount, you will receive 10% discount and 4 points per £1 on applicable purchases

• Any breach of bulk buying policy or abuse of discount card may result in your Student Discount being revoked

• You may be asked to present your Student ID at each transaction, if you are unable to produce your Student ID your Student Discount will be deactivated until you return in store to present your valid Student ID

• To activate the 10% discount, you will need to present your Advantage Card and student ID at a manned till on your first visit from 1 September. Each year you will need to go back into a Boots store from 1 September to reactivate your discount by presenting your Advantage Card and student ID at a manned till. Your student ID will be used to verify your student status and to activate the discount on your account, however no personal data is collected as part of this process, data is collected through your Advantage Card sign up, please see boots.com/advantage-card for full terms and conditions

• Once your Student Discount is activated on your Advantage Card, your Boots Student Discount will be applied automatically on any applicable purchases in store and online (above exclusions apply) when using your Advantage Card

• If you are not an Advantage Card holder, you can apply for an Advantage Card through the Boots app which will give you instant access to your digital card or through the in store iPad where you will receive a permanent plastic card, plus the ability to have instant access to your digital card through the Boots app. You can then present your digital or plastic card, along with your student ID, at a manned till to have your discount activated

• You must present your Boots Advantage Card every time you shop to receive the 10% discount to your shop. The discount will not be awarded retrospectively

• You must sign into your boots.com account and link your Advantage Card to receive the 10% discount on your online shop. The discount will not be awarded retrospectively

• Students are also eligible to receive 10% discount at Boots Opticians

• Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other coupon

Boots Opticians Contact Lens Reward Scheme
  1. To receive 10% off Boots branded products, you will need to be a member of the Boots Opticians Contact Lens Reward Scheme and hold a permanent Boots Advantage Card
  2. You will need to activate your 10% offer voucher in a Boots UK store. Once your voucher is activated you must present your permanent Advantage Card each time you shop to receive the 10% discount
  3. The discount will not be awarded retrospectively
  4. 10% offer excludes Boots branded products from Boots Opticians, purchases from 'third party sites' including Boots Hearingcare, bootsdesignersunglasses.com, bootskitchenappliances.com, from Boots prescription items, infant milks (up to six months), gift vouchers/cards, insurance, travel services and Boots insurance

Boots Advantage Plus
  1. To activate your Boots Advantage Plus benefits, you will need to present your Advantage Card  and pay a £20 joining fee at a manned till in one of our selected participating stores.  The 10% discount will be applied to eligible purchases in store as soon as you pay the membership fee to join Boots Advantage Plus.  It will take up to 4 working days for your 10% discount, free standard online delivery and free collect in store offers to be available on boots.com, we will send you an email to confirm this has happened.  
  2. If you are not an Advantage Card holder, to join Boots Advantage Plus you must first apply for an Advantage Card through the Boots app which will give you instant access to your digital card or through the in store iPad where you will receive a permanent plastic card, plus the ability to have instant access to your digital card through the Boots app. You can then present your digital or plastic card, along with your membership payment, at a manned till to join Boots Advantage Plus and have your benefits activated. 
  3. To get the best experience from your Boots Advantage Plus, including confirmation of and access to offers during your membership, we recommend you provide a valid email address and opt in to email marketing, and download the Boots App on your phone (and link your Advantage Card).  
  4. Membership of Boots Advantage Plus costs a single, non-refundable payment of £20.  You can join at a manned till in a limited number of participating stores, and cannot join in other stores, at self checkout tills, on boots.com or by calling customer care.
  5. The minimum term of membership to Boots Advantage Plus is 12 months.  No refunds on the joining fee will be given if membership is cancelled early. 
  6. Club benefits last for 12 months from date of purchase.

  8. The Boots Advantage Plus programme may be cancelled at any time and membership fee returned on a pro-rata basis.  In the event that we cancel the Boots Advantage Plus programme, we will email members who have provided a valid email address confirming when they joined, and how to collect your pro-rata refund in the store in which you joined the scheme.  
  9. Recognising your Boots Advantage Plus benefits depends on network connectivity between our stores and our central systems.  In the unlikely event that you make a purchase in a store experiencing network connectivity issues, it is possible that your club benefits and offers will not be recognised during the transaction.  Unfortunately, in this circumstance it will not be possible to add your discount retrospectively.

Offers and Club benefits

  1. You must present your Boots Advantage Card every time you shop to receive the 10% discount to your shop. The discount will not be awarded retrospectively. You must sign into your boots.com account and link your Advantage Card to receive the 10% discount and associated free delivery offers on your online shop. These discounts will not be awarded retrospectively
  2. The 10% discount and free standard online delivery and free collect in store offers are not available on the purchase of all baby milks, including first, follow-on and growing-up milks; Tutti Bambini, Cosatto, East Coast Furniture; NHS prescriptions, selected dispensary items and Pharmacy Services;  postage stamps, giftcards/vouchers, mobile phone top--up cards and postage stamps; bundles/value packs, experience days, and all Dyson branded products.  These offers also exclude the purchase of Boots Travel and Insurance Services, Boots Opticians, Boots Hearingcare, Boots Kitchen Appliances, third party websites and the bag levy.  In addition, 10% discount is also not available on gift boxes and delivery charges for purchases made online.
  3. Fair use cap – your 10% discount is for personal use only, and bulk buying will result in your membership of Boots Advantage Plus and access to benefits being removed.  If you spend more than £3000 in a month using your Advantage Card we reserve the right to remove all Boots Advantage Plus discounts and benefits.
  4. Any other breaches of bulk buying policy or abuse of discount card may result in your Boots Advantage Plus benefits being revoked 
  5. Free online delivery applies to free standard delivery only (not named day, next day or Saturday delivery), and free collect in store.  The offer entitles you to up to 24 free standard delivery orders, and up to 24 free collect in store orders during your 12 month membership.   6. Birthday offer – members of Boots Advantage Plus will be offered triple Advantage Card points on every applicable transaction during their birthday month.  This offer is subject to your providing your date of birth either when applying for our Advantage Card, or by updating your Advantage Card account details on boots.com.  Unfortunately, if you join Boots Advantage Plus within 3 weeks of your birthday you may not receive this offer.  This offer will be made available to activate in the Boots App.
  7. Boots Advantage Plus can’t be used in conjunction with Staff Discount cards, or Contact Lens Rewards Plan.  If you are a staff discount card user you will be charged £20 to join Boots Advantage Plus, but you will not be entitled to the membership benefits and the membership payment will not be refunded.  
  8. If you are a member of our Student Discount club, you may join Boots Advantage Plus, and this will replace your student club membership, so you will only receive a maximum 10% discount (not 20%).  Other offers and benefits including free online delivery options described above will still apply.
