Acceptance of orders

Working with industry-leading secure payment processors, we validate your order and the payment details you submit to us before your order can be accepted. When your order contains a pharmacy medicine (identified on this site by a [P] symbol) your order will be subject to review by a Boots pharmacist. Subject to this pharmacist's approval, sale of these medicines will then be made by Boots UK Limited.

Boots reserves the right to restrict the number of items available for sale to any individual customer. All orders are subject to availability. If any items are not available and you paid using a debit/credit card or PayPal you will not be charged for the cancelled items. If you paid using a eVoucher or Boots Advantage Card points you will be given a refund for the amount paid for the items.

We accept payment by most major credit or debit cards and PayPal. Payment will be debited from your account before the dispatch of your purchase. We also accept eVouchers and Boots Advantage Card points. These payments methods will be debited when the order is placed.

All orders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. Colour reproduction

boots.com has made every effort to reproduce colours on the site as accurately as possible. However, different computers and mobile devices reproduce colours in slightly different ways, and so exact colour matches are not yet possible over the Internet.

This means that when you order products from the Shop, colours may differ from what you see on the screen.

If you are not satisfied with the colour of the item you have ordered, we operate a returns policy (see 'Returns' for more information).

Price information

boots.com has taken great care to ensure prices are accurate. Prices may change over time, so if you use your shopping list within 'My account' as a way of re-ordering items, prices on your previous order may no longer be valid. Disposal of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment and Batteries

In the past, most waste electrical and electronic equipment and batteries have ended up in landfill sites, where the toxic materials some of them contain can put communities at risk.

However, facilities now exist for these products to be collected separately from normal household waste and sent for recycling. This enables the hazardous materials to be disposed of safely and other materials to be used to make new products.

So that you can get your waste electrical goods recycled, we have contributed towards a national fund to assist local councils to further develop their existing household recycling centres to deal with this additional waste. Waste household batteries can also be disposed of at local council sites or at the special collection points that are in Boots shops and other locations.

All new electrical and electronic products and batteries are now marked with the crossed out wheeled bin symbol to remind consumers to recycle. In the case of batteries this is sometimes accompanied by the letters "Pb", "Cd" or "Hg" to indicate that lead, cadmium or mercury may be present.

Why recycle?

Unwanted electrical equipment is the UKs fastest growing type of waste.

Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. If you do not recycle, electrical equipment will end up in landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and cause soil and water contamination harming wildlife and also human health.

What Boots do

Boots supports the WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Regulations, which means we assist financially in the development of recycling centres around the UK through a scheme called the Distributor Take-back Scheme (DTS). The scheme assists in funding a network of collection facilities where consumers can dispose of their household WEEE free of charge for environmentally sound treatment and recycling.

For household batteries we also have special collection points in all of our UK stores where you can dispose of waste household batteries and these will then be recycled.

To remind you that old electrical equipment can be recycled, it is now marked with a crossed-out wheeled bin symbol. Please do not throw any electrical equipment (including those marked with the crossed out wheeled bin symbol) in your bin.

What is WEEE?

The Waste Electrical or Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires countries to maximise separate collection and environmentally friendly processing of these items. In the UK, distributors (including retailers) must provide a system which allows all customers buying new electrical equipment the opportunity to recycle their old items free of charge. Those establishing their own take-back scheme must as a minimum offer all customers buying new electrical equipment free take back of their old electricals on a like-for-like basis.

What are the eGift voucher Terms and Conditions?

In order to buy an eGift voucher, you must be registered to Boots.com. A recipient of an eGift voucher must have a valid email address, and although it is possible to receive an eGift voucher without being registered to Boots.com, it is not possible to redeem before registration.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to earn Boots Advantage points when buying an eGift voucher.

However, points are awarded when the eGift voucher is redeemed.

Our eGift vouchers may only be redeemed on Boots.com, towards the purchase of items listed on Boots.com, sold by Boots.com. They cannot be spent in any of our Other Shops or on Bootsopticians.co.uk.

When payment is made with an eGift voucher, your account is debited immediately upon order acknowledgement.

This eGift voucher has a cash redemption value of 0.001p and is not transferable or assignable.

If you request a refund for an order paid for by eGift voucher, your refund will be processed to the same eGift voucher account. Unfortunately it is not possible to issue refunds to alternative payment types.

eGift vouchers and unused portions of eGift vouchers expire one year from the date of issue.

Buying or redeeming eGift vouchers is subject to our normal Terms and Conditions and order validation procedures.

How do I join?

If you own or operate a website you can apply to join our affiliate programme to receive commission on sales generated by your visitors to our site. What is the Boots mobile app?

The Boots mobile app is a version of boots.com that is optimised for your mobile phone. The Boots mobile app will ensure you receive the best of boots.com straight to your mobile device. As well as a dedicated shop, the Boots mobile App also provides promotions and offers from boots.com.

How do I change my cookie settings?

Boots Free WiFi is a way to connect to the internet, wirelessly, through devices such as computers, mobile phones, e-readers and games consoles. It is only available in certain stores and is completely free to use.

You will need to agree to our Boots Free WiFi terms and conditions.

The signal strength on my device is low, what's going on?

The strength of Boots WiFi depends on factors like how far away you are from the wireless router and how many people are trying to connect at the same time. If your signal strength is low, try moving to a different area of the store.

How do I connect?

It depends on the device you're using. Connecting with a smart phone is different to connecting with your iPad, for example. But the basic steps are always the same:

  1. Switch on the device
  2. Switch on the WiFi and search for available networks
  3. Choose Boots Free WiFi from the list
  4. Open your web browser and follow the instructions
What are Boots Free WiFi terms and conditions?

Boots UK Limited ("Boots") is pleased to be able to offer you free customer wireless internet (WiFi) access under the following terms & conditions:

The service is provided by Boots, Registered Office in Nottingham, NG2 3AA, registered in England and Wales with Company Number 928555. It gives you the ability to access the internet and to send and receive data from a network access point in a participating Boots store.

The use of this service is subject to these terms and conditions and in using this service you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The service does not include connection to other customer networks, any specific services when you are connected to the internet or provide you with any computer equipment to access the service or the internet.

The service starts when you access "Boots Free Wifi" and ends when you exit the store and go out of range of the access point or end the network session yourself.

The service will be renewed automatically if you have previously logged in with your Advantage Card details or whenever you register your details. You can register and re-register as a guest user using the same personal details as many times as you wish. You are responsible for the actions and omissions of any person who accesses the service using your details.

Use of the service is dependent on your device(s) working properly and you are responsible for any charges incurred as a result of using your device.

By choosing to opt-in to email subscriptions, you are agreeing to Boots sending you details of products, special offers and services that may be of interest to you. If you would prefer not to receive these, please un-tick the box. You can unsubscribe at any time by following the unsubscribe process on any email that you receive or by calling our Customer Care team on 0845 070 8090 (charges apply) who will arrange for you to be removed from the mailings.

Boots reserves the right to block access and content of certain sites at its sole discretion.

You must act reasonably and not use this service in a way which may interfere with either the Boots network or other users.

You must act responsibly and not use the service in any kind of discriminatory, defamatory or threatening way, nor use it any way that could be obscene or offensive. If you are a Boots employee or contractor, the Terms and Conditions of your contract apply to your use of the Boots Free WiFi service.

You must not use this service in an illegal or unlawful manner, or in a way that could encourage others to act illegally or unlawfully.

In using this service, you acknowledge that it is provided by Boots as a free service to our customers and is not guaranteed to be available. Further, the speed, quality and availability of the service may be inconsistent and intermittent within an individual store or across different stores.

Boots reserves the right to modify, restrict, suspend or terminate the service at any time without notice to users. Boots reserves the right to disclose information about you or notify relevant authorities of your use of the WiFi if Boots is subject to any claim, court order or request for information about your use of the service or if otherwise required.

Boots reserves the right to manage and monitor the service and may take action to block certain sites and communications, and may investigate and remove data from the network/servers including the use of users' personal information.

Due to the nature of the service, you accept that Boots cannot guarantee security against unlawful access or use of the WiFi. This includes the integrity, authentication and confidentiality of the information, files and data you may wish to exchange over the internet. It is your responsibility to take all reasonable steps to prevent unlawful access or use of the service, the equipment and any confidential information. By using this service, you acknowledge that Boots is not responsible for unsolicited communications such as bulk messages, advertising mailings, false messages or for any implication that any message is sent from or authorised by Boots.

Boots will use your personal information to provide you with the WiFi service and to manage and improve this service; to generate statistical data about browsing patterns to track the performance of the WiFi service; to comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, government and law enforcement agencies requests, to operate our systems properly or to protect ourselves or our users and customers or to solve any customer disputes. Any use of any customer information and data by Boots will comply with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Boots will not disclose your information to anyone outside of the Walgreens Boots Alliance group of companies except where we have your consent or are required or permitted to do so by law. To obtain a copy of the information we hold about you, please write to us at Boots Customer Care, PO Box 5300, Nottingham, NG90 1AA. There will be a fee for this process.

In addition, we use cookies to generate statistical data and to improve our services and identify any difficulties you may experience in accessing the service. The cookies we use are session cookies which remain on your device until you close your browser when they automatically expire. Some cookies are essential for us to provide you with the WiFi service and if you refuse them, you may not be able to use our WiFi service. If you carry on using the WiFi Service and do not change your browser settings then you consent to us using cookies as described above.

You use this service entirely at your own risk and acknowledge that Boots is not responsible for all damage, losses, costs or expenses which you may suffer because the service is unavailable or does not operate as expected or causes loss or damage to any data.

You acknowledge and agree that you are responsible for all damage, losses, costs or expenses incurred by you or by any third party, including without limitation, Boots and its associated companies arising in connection with your use of this service.

Nothing in these terms or conditions shall limit or exclude in any way any liability we may have to you for (i) death or personal injury as a result of Boots or its associated companies' negligence; (ii) fraudulent misrepresentation; or, (iii) any other matter which it would be illegal or unlawful for us to exclude or attempt to exclude.
