If you or someone in your family has been affected by cancer, you may even be a carer, we can offer you support and advice. We can also point you in the direction of cancer care in your community.
Our specially trained Boots Macmillan Information Pharmacists (BMIPs) are an easy way of accessing a local professional with a great knowledge around cancer, who will listen to you, be your guide and help you in the best way they can. You don’t need to make an appointment, just stroll into your nearest store and ask for your local BMIP, then have a chat with them on a one-to-one, personal level. BMIPs are available in selected Boots Pharmacies.
There are many different types of cancer and they can affect people in many ways. Do not hesitate in talking to our trained pharmacists about any issue you may have. They will help you as best they can, and wherever they can’t, they will put you in contact with someone who can.
More than 4 out of 5 women fighting cancer feel the physical side effects of their treatment have negatively affected their self esteem. Nearly two thirds are not sure how to disguise the effects of treatment, and nearly three quarters would welcome expert beauty advice from a specially trained advisor.
Many of our in-store beauty advisors have been specially trained in advising on the physical side effects of treatment. Also, some of our No.7 advisors have had extra training to become Boots Macmillan Beauty Advisors.
You can find stores near you with Boots Macmillan Beauty Advisors or Boots Macmillan Information Pharmacists in our store locator.
