Tommee Tippee® Closer to Nature® Advanced Comfort Baby Feeding Bottles - 4 x 260ml
Don't waste your money
Bought the standard Tommee Tippee bottles for my 4week old baby when I was pregnant, he was fine with the small 5oz bottles, but has since moved onto 6oz bottles and the standard ones were making him take in a lot of air. So saw these new ones and went out to boots to buy 4 of the large ones yesterday. They are great at getting rid of the air bubbles within the bottle itself, BUT a complete nightmare when making up the feed, instructions tell you to assemble bottle first and then make up the feed, so the powder goes everywhere, making a mess, the bottle leaks when you shake it and sounds as though it's going to explode, NOT GOOD when you've got very hot water in the bottle! I tried filling the bottle with water first, then adding the powder formula and putting the vent gadget in afterwards, that seems to make it a little better, but the vent then keeps popping up as the powder is still sitting at the bottom of the bottle, so you have to push the teat lid down to push the vent back down, ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE! Not what you want to be dealing with when making up feeds in the early hours of the morning!! And to top it all off the teats I think are a bit longer than the standard ones, so they keep going inwards when my baby is drinking and the lids seem to be a bit small to accommodate the longer teats, when you put the lid on the bottle, the teats don't stand up straight, seem to be a bit bent, from the pressure applied from the lid. Will be taking these back to boots after one day of purchase, very disappointed with Tommee Tippee :(

Very clever product!
I bought these bottles after my little one suffered with trapped wind.
The little vent thingy takes the air bubbles away from the teat back up the vent, if you watch you can actually see the bubbles popping out the top end! I would say these do work but it all depends on how colicy your baby is. These bottles seem to have eased my boys colic in the day time, it's just at night now, which is partly down to him being a lazy winder at night time.
The only downsides i have with the bottles is that one of them, so some unknown reason, keeps exploding. I make the bottles up as you normally would (water, powder, assemble bottle and shake) only when shaking one of the bottles leaks formula every where! Out of the six bottles i have this is the only one that does it, so i'm thinking maybe a faulty bottle?!
The other downside, i suppose, would be the cleaning of the bottles. They are time consuming. Not only do you have the bottle, teat and lid to clean you also have the vent. Which comes to pieces, you are supplied with a little tiny bottle brush to clean the inside vent. You then sterilize as normal.
The 2 downsides far out weigh the fact that they seem to be working though (apart from at night, which i can't blame on the bottles) and so will recommend them to anyone, but again what works for one might not work for another, it's all trial and error :D

Good bottles for colic
I am very happy with these bottles. The only reason I didn't give 5stars is because once uve made the feed and give the bottle a shake, the milk can leak from the teat. I think This is due to the lids. Other than that, they have really helped my 2month old with colic.
