Equazen baby is a scientifically developed, specific formulation of essential fatty acids, including Essential Fatty Acids to support normal growth and development.*
Essential fatty acids are lipids that play a key role in sustaining healthy growth.* They are not produced by the body and therefore must be obtained from the diet. Fish oil and evening primrose oil are natural sources of omega-3 (EPA and DHA) and omega-6 (GLA) fatty acids.
The fish oil used in the Equazen is derived from high-quality sustainable sources. Equazen is independently tested to comply with stringent WHO (World Health Organisation) and GOED (Global Organisation for EPA and DHA) certifications, as well as international organisation, Friend of the Sea (FOS), which actively promotes sustainable seafood worldwide.
Equazen Baby is also PUREMAX accredited which gives you the reassurance that we use Omega 3 concentrates of exceptional purity and rigorous quality systems to ensure consistent high standards.
The key ingredients:
- Omega-3 Dochosahexaenoic Acid (DHA) from fish oil provides the building blocks of the brain and eyes** Particularly important during the third trimester of pregnancy and during the first two years of life, when the brain develops more rapidly.
- Omega-3 Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) is one of the fatty acids that makes up Omega-3 found in oily fish.
- Omega-6 Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA) from cold pressed evening primrose oil and metabolite Arachidonic Acid (AA), ensures a synergistic and balanced formulation to help support the body’s individual needs. *

*Essential fatty acids (ALA) & (LA) are needed for normal growth and development of children. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 2g of alpha linolenic acid (ALA) and 10g of linoleic acid (LA).
**DHA maternal intake contributes to normal development of the brain and eye of the foetus and breastfed infants. A daily intake of 200mg DHA is required in addition to the recommended daily intake of 250mg DHA & EPA for adults. This product provides 300mg DHA and 42mg EPA daily.
How to use
1 twist off capsule per day with food/liquid (200g or 200ml). Twist of capsule and squeeze contents into at least 200ml of liquid, formula milk, or 200g of food and mix well.
