What is Boots Stop Smoking Clinic for?

By deciding to give up smoking, you’ve already taken the first step on a journey to living a healthier and longer life, particularly if you have heart or lung disease.

Our online clinic can give you access to a prescription-only medicine called Champix to help you stop smoking, without you visiting your GP.

If you already have a prescription from your GP we can dispense it, either at your local Boots pharmacy, or via our online prescription service.

Who can use this clinic?

You must be at least 18 years old to use this clinic.

How it works

1

Online consultation

We’ll ask you a series of questions to work out if the treatment is suitable for you

2

Pay for treatment

One of our clinicians will review your answers, usually within 24 hours, although this may take longer at weekends and bank holidays. Then, if the treatment is suitable for you, we’ll take payment for a two week starter pack

3

Start your treatment

You can collect your medicine from your chosen Boots pharmacy or a post office near you, or get it delivered to your home*

*Subject to stock availability and clinician approval

What results can I expect?

You’re more likely to stop smoking if you’re sufficiently motivated to do so.  According to research, prescription medicine can help double or even triple your chances of stopping smoking.

The usual course of treatment lasts 12 weeks but some people may need longer to help them stop smoking for good.
