Tums Assorted Fruit Antacid Tablets fast effective relief from indigestion, heartburn and trapped wind

How to Use

Read all the information carefully because it contains inportant information for you.

Adults and children 12 years and over:

Suck or chew 1 to 2 tablets when needed, up to a maximum of 16 tablets (7 if you are pregnant) in 24 hours.

Hazards and Cautions

Keep out of the reach and sight of children.

Do not store above 25°C

Do not use after expiry date.

Do not take Tums if you:

Have ever had an allergic reaction to calcium carbonate or any of the other ingredients.

Have kidney problems (e.g. kidney stones) or thyroid problems

Are on a low phosphate diet

Have a high blood calcium level

Are taking heart tablets called cardiac glycosides (e.g. digoxin)

Have Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (a tumour that secretes gastric)

Are under 12 years

Ask a doctor before you take Tums if you:

Have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars.

Have diabetes

Are taking other medicines, such as tetracycline antibiotics, bisphosphonates (for your bones) or thiazide diuretics (water tablets)

If you take to many tablets contact your doctor or casualty department

Possible side effects

You may get constipation, wind or changes in your blood while using Tums.

You may get heartburn after you stop taking the tablets.

If you do get any side effects, even those not mentioned, tell your doctor or pharmacist.

Colours E110 & E124 can cause allergic reactions.

Each tablet contains between 521 and 525mg of glucose (dextrose)
