TONI&GUY Infusion Hair Straightener
My new favorite straighteners!
I have only ever used cheap/rubbish straighteners before so I was excited to see what this item had to offer me. The infusion idea - by putting heat protection spray in the resevoir - is a great one. As you clamp down on your hair, there is a button which gets pressed; releasing the liquid protection spray onto the hair/straighteners. Unfortunatley, I am a little skeptical as to whether the application of a spray to hair actually protects the hair in any way and this skepticism is amplified by the fact that the novelty feature of these straightners doesn't work that well...You have to clamp down quite hard (harder than I normally like) to get the button pressed enough to release the liquid. It is still a fantastic idea and makes heat protection much easier but I'd say it's a feature that needs perfecting.
That being said, these are fantastic all round straighteners! They have automatc shut-off for those of us who forget to turn them off, a variable heat setting which is easily adjusted with a circular cog/dial and a lock for when you travel with them. They look nice, hair glides through them without tugging, they straighten hair well and they have a usefully long cable, so no need for extension cable! I cannot comment on their ability to curl hair because I only tried it out briefly and failed miserably (whether this is because of the straighteners or my poor hair styling skills, I'm not sure but probably the latter!)
Overall, these are good straighteners so they get four stars but I've knocked one off for the infusion idea as I think it needs perfecting (perhaps needing less pressure to release the liquid) and they are therefore, perhaps not worth the money. Get them when they are on offer and try them out for yourself!

This straightener is AMAZING! It's the best one I've tried yet and comparable to GHDs! The inbuilt conditioning treatment is really useful as it means that you dont have to add protection spray on before straightening (it also makes the process much faster). It glides really well and straightens perfectly leaving you with hair that stays straight for a long time!
Negatives: the conditioning treatement is pricey and it says you can't fill it up with any others. You have to press the plates quite hard for the conditioning treatment to come out. It aches your hand so much!

Throw out your other straighteners! These are all you'll need!
As a devoted fan of my old straighteners and a bit of a straightening addict, I was very dubious about a straightener doing a better job that the ones I had before. Honestly, as soon as I'd tried these, I gave my others away.
First up, for anyone with frizzy hair, the fact that these are infused with product will be a godsend. My hair is far softer and shinier than with my previous straighteners. Also, the fact that it is depositing heat protection literally onto the part of the hair being straightened has got to be better for your hair than spraying mist at the top layer and hoping for the best! This feature is optional though, so if you have very healthy or slightly greasy hair, you can give the extra product a miss.
I like being able to adjust the heat setting. Contrary to popular belief, hair does not need to be straightened at 220c unless it is very very coarse. These work fabulously on 190c and thats even after sleeping on it.
Frankly, compared to other very popular brands, these are better and a much lower price.
