Champix is a prescription medicine to help you give up smoking which you can access via an online consultation from Boots.com without the need to visit your doctor first (subject to stock availability).
However, Champix is not suitable for everyone and you must be aged 18 or over to order it from Boots. Our online consultation will assess whether you can take this medication.
The usual course of treatment for Champix is 12 weeks. You need to start taking it one to two weeks before the date you actually want to stop smoking, so that your body can adjust to the treatment.
|Week 1: First three days||Take one 0.5mg tablet each day|
|Week 1: Days four to seven||Take one 0.5mg tablet once in the morning and once in the evening, at about the same time every day|
|Day 8 until the end of treatment (12 or 24 weeks)||Take one 1mg tablet twice a day|
If you experience any adverse effects from taking the Champix Starter Pack we can reduce the dosage you are taking. The second time you order we will ask if you wish to continue on the 1mg tablet or not. Further orders cannot have a different strength.

If you don't want a prescription medicine, or it is not suitable to help you to stop smoking, there are other products you could consider. Nicotine replacement products including patches, lozenges and gum, are available online and in Boots stores.
You can also visit participating Boots stores to speak to a pharmacist and find out more about our Smoking Control Services.
You can purchase multiple packs of Champix to cover 12 weeks of treatment. If it has been successful but you feel a longer period of treatment will help you stay off nicotine, then you may be able to continue treatment for a further 12 weeks.Get started
