Type 2 diabetes: Get your free Diabetes Risk Assessment in store

It's estimated that currently 7 million people are at risk of developing type 2 diabetes. The good news is that with our Diabetes Risk Assessment you can understand if you're at risk and can take active, positive steps towards keeping your risk low - making you feel more in control

Boots, in association with Diabetes UK, are now offering a Diabetes Risk Assessment in store, carried out by a member of the pharmacy team.

Know your risk: Our pharmacy team are ready to help

It's quick and easy, and fully confidential. When you come to Boots for your Diabetes Risk Assessment you can be confident knowing that our fully-trained professionals will be giving lifestyle advice that's tailored to your own personal needs. Having a Diabetes Risk Assessment in store is as easy as 1,2,3...

  1. Our fully trained pharmacy team member will ask you five questions about your health and lifestyle as well as measuring your waist circumference and body mass index (BMI), both of which give an indication of the risk of developing type 2 diabetes
  2. We'll then work out your risk score based on your answers, and let you know whether you fall into the low, increased, moderate or high risk category
  3. We'll chat through the results with you and make recommendations to help reduce any risk. If you do fall into the moderate or high risk category we will refer you to your GP. If you fall into the low risk category it may be as simple as telling you to keep up the good work
