However, not all women are suitable for Primolut N and first of all one of our team of online clinicians will need to assess through our online consultation whether this medication is suitable for you.

You must be a woman aged 16 or over and not taking the contraceptive pill or using hormonal contraception.

How does Primolut N work?

Primulot N works in a similar way to the hormone progesterone, which occurs naturally in the body. It delays your period until the tablets are stopped. You will need to take one Primolut N tablet three times a day, starting three days before your menstrual cycle is due to start and continuing for no more than 14 days afterwards (17 days in total). Your period will be delayed while you are taking the tablets and should start two or three days after you stop taking them.

Is Primolut N suitable for everyone?

Primolut N is not suitable for all women. You must be aged 16 or over and not taking the contraceptive pill or using hormonal contraception.

Primolut N can cause side effects, although not everyone will experience them. The side effects are rare and include nausea and skin problems. If you suffer from epilepsy or migraines you may find your symptoms are worse while taking Primolut N.
