Our training

We know that our customers need to meet Care Quality Commission standards. Our e-learning courses enable care providers to access training at a time and place convenient to them. Each course takes approximately two hours to complete.

We currently offer four e-learning courses:

  • Medication handling - this programme will help the learner to handle medicines safely and includes the correct implementation of the Boots Monitored Dosage System. This system allows care providers to easily monitor medicine doses and keep accurate records.
  • Care of Medicines: Foundation - The course is accredited by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and is designed to provide the learner with underpinning knowledge for SVQ/NVQ Health & Social Care Levels 2 and 3 and Element 411d at Level 4.
  • Care of Medicines: Advanced - This course provides background information on all major organs of the body and on how they are affected by drugs. It builds on the Foundation module.
  • Care of Medicines: Domiciliary - This course is designed to help staff in a Domiciliary Care environment work towards a vocational qualification on the Qualifications and Credit Framework.

You can find more information about each course here.

Each e-learning course is £40 per person, per course (including VAT). If you're a Boots signed customer*, the training is free of charge as part of your service level agreement with us.

We can provide you with access to E-learning courses within five working days, please call 0115 949 5740 or email care@boots.co.uk. for more information.
