Eye Health. Let's keep an eye on your health

Eye Health - Let’s keep an eye on your health

Our sight is really important to us, but many of us don’t even consider our eye health.

At Boots Opticians we can help you keep your eyes as healthy as possible, as well as providing expert advice and information about a whole range of common eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, floaters and macular degeneration.

And there’s lots of simple things you can do every day to keep your eyes feeling and looking healthy.

Care

Long days in front of a computer screen, not managing to eat a balanced diet, or forgetting to take your make-up off at night can all contribute to uncomfortable, irritated eyes.

We’ve got a wide range of products in our eye care shop to help you find a solution to eye problems such as conjunctivitis, dry eyes, sore eyes and eye infections including a wide range of eye health vitamins, eye drops and mists and eye care accessories.

Protect

We protect our skin with sun lotion but it’s just as important to protect eyes from the sun’s glare too. Wearing sunglasses filters out harmful UV and reduces glare from sunlight that can lead to long-term complications such as cataracts.

We have a wide range of sunglasses available to help protect your eyes from the sun.

Check

There are also links between your eye health and your general health. An eye test can help detect the early signs of conditions such as diabetes, glaucoma, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.

Help stay on top of changes to your eyes and overall health by having an eye check every 2 years.

Your child’s eye health is important too and children under 16 are entitled to a free NHS eye check every year.

Book an eye test with Boots Opticians using our on line eye check request form or by calling 0345 125 3752.
