Great for ponytail, wearer with grey areas. I use touch up, every 8 wks. I am 45 & suddenly, gone very grey around temples & crown ( though none on head) I use the normal Nice& Easy for all over every 3/4 wks, but i find the touch up is so much better grey coverage. It is expensive but well worth the money. I have no grey flecks with touch up & it lasts aged ~ Unlike the normal one. 15 July 2013
Root Touch Up Review I agree with the above review. This is a marvellous product, the only thing I noticed was that the colour I got was slightly darker than I thought it would be but you really wouldn't notice - and nobody has. I'll just try a different colour next time until I get it right but the L'oreal website is very helpful. 06 July 2010
What a god-send! So, it took me about a year to pluck up the courage and venture into the world of home hair dye. OK, my grey wasn't that bad - just greying around the hairline but it still made me feel frumpy. Even after buying this product it took me 6 months before using it - that's how reluctant I was. But I shouldn't have been. This product really is nice and easy plus very effective. I love that it only takes 10 minutes, it just makes it such a simple operation. To select the colour I cut a bit of my hair from the back underside of my head, took it to Boots and surreptitiously compared it with the box shade. That seems to have worked well for me. I saved the bit of hair and used it for the strand test that is recommended. I only need a small amount to cover the small-ish (but obvious) grey around my hairline so even when mixed there is too much dye and the first time I used it I ended up throwing half of it away. So, next time I got my digital scales and carefully weighed out 7g of the dye and 7g of the developing fluid into the mixing bowl, resealed the dye tube & developing fluid bottle tightly and used the remaining amount next time. It was just as effective. I just needed to rinse the brush, mixing tub and gloves after applying which was no hassle if done immediately. Clairol may not appreciate me sharing this tip but I hated throwing away half the mixture and using the one box for 2 applications obviously saves me money. I can get away with 7 - 8 weeks before needing to cover the grey again. Application is a doddle. I carefully rub Vaseline around my face at the hairline (being sure not to let it touch any of the hair) and over the tops of my ears. Do wear an old towel around your shoulders and ideally apply over the bathroom sink as although it's quite a thick mixture, the odd blob did fall - possibly as a result of me overfilling the brush though. It all starts to look a bit dark and 'cap-like' as the colour develops. Don't worry though, it does work out in the end! I usually dye it when I have a few days before needing it to look perfect as the dye can leave it quite dark around the hairline which looks a bit unnatural. I don't know if this is dye on the scalp that washes off or what but a few days later the effect is fantastic. I'm so glad I plucked up the courage and used this product. It's so easy to apply, quick to develop and really effective. Plus, most importantly, I no longer feel frumpy :) 02 July 2013
