Product description

The Mooncup is designed by women for your comfort and convenience. Made in the UK, the soft medical grade silicone Mooncup holds three times as much as a tampon, making it great for heavy days. And, because it’s non-absorbent, it won’t cause dryness when your period’s light. You only need one Mooncup, which lasts for years. Suitable for women with sensitive skin and allergies. Unlike tampons, the Mooncup won’t expose your body to pesticides or bleaches, leave fibres behind or dry you out. And because there’s no string, the Mooncup is completely discreet, whatever you’re wearing. Ideal for travelling, swimming, exercise and overnight use.

The Mooncup is worn internally, lower than a tampon, and collects rather than absorbs your menstrual fluid. It is folded and inserted into the vagina and opens up once it’s inside. You will need to remove and empty the Mooncup every 4 to 8 hours depending on your flow. The Mooncup is then simply rinsed out or wiped, and reinserted. It can be cleaned more thoroughly between periods.

Mooncup size A is recommended for women aged 30 and above, and all women who have given birth vaginally, regardless of age.

An excellent alternative to tampons! I bought this product 5 months ago and I am glad I did. It took a little while to get used to it but it is an excellent product. I haven't bought tampons or towels since. You don't have to change it as often as a tampon, so I empty it in the morning and after work and that's it! It makes periods a breeze! It is cost effective as you don't need to buy anything else and it lass for years and years. If anyone has problems with it e.g. leakage check out the mooncup website as their forum and faq have good advice. 14 April 2009
MoonCup, A Womans Wonder. I have been using the moomcup for 6 months and I will not be going back to the old ways now. At last a way to stay clean, with no having to carry around spare tampns. Excellent item, Must be tried by all. S.U. 07 May 2009
the mooncup This is a fantastic product: a pity it gets hidden on the bottom shelf. Buy one for twenty quid and reuse it, it's much less guddly than one would imagine, and no more so than tampons. The cup catches blood, which is emptied into the loo, then rinse and put it back in. My period lasts a day less long with it, is less painful, and I don't have to think about taking anything with me. I boil it to sterilise it, and it has stopped the overnight leaks. It's wonderful :D. 26 July 2009
