After using several of the big designer brands and getting fed up with the price tag that came with them I finally decided to give the high street another try. And as far as this one goes it seems to have come a long way. It works! Definately waterproof. Doesn't run at all. Is a nice texture, doesn't have that 'sticky' feel to it, but also doesn't dry to a flake! And rather importantly when the lashes get wet, they don't go into 3 or 4 large points of eye lashes like some do! You can achieve a natural lash look, or build it up if that's your thing. I've had it several months and there is plenty left in the tube, but true to form of every mascara I've bought, pricey or otherwise - yep, it's drying out to much to use! Though this time I resent buying a replacement tube a lot less, since it's half the price of the one I was using before and no loss of performance to boot!
i actually quite like this mascara. i've been a fan of maxfactor for years, as i have always found that it's one of the few brands that actually is waterproof (my eyes are quite watery & with all the rain we get waterproofness is something i value highly).it is difficult to remove but i see that as a good thing, i don't even try to take it off, most of it's still there in the morning & i put more over the top. anyway the reason i've given it 2 stars is it only has 4 mls in the tube (that's less than a teaspoon full) so for anyone who wears lots of mascara every day like i do it doesn't last long at all. my advice get maybaline define-a-lash or define-a-lash volume, the formula is just as good the brush is very similar (i think slightly better)there is more in the tube and it's cheaper.
when i was looking for a new mascara i wanted one with one of the new style applicators as I found the mascara applied better. I also wear waterproof as I swim a lot and rub my eyes occasionally. Anyway i thought I found the ultimate mascara however was quite dismayed when my husband said it had run and I wasn't in the pool either.....doesn't exactly do as it says on the tin.
