What is the InStyler®?

The InStyler®, Straighteners and hair styling
is a new tool that straightens, polishes and styles hair using a rotating heated cylinder with brush bristles. This totally new design polishes the hair strands individually, allowing you to get amazing results without the need for extreme heat or heavy styling products.

How is the InStyler® different to my straighteners?

Simple: hair straighteners compress your hair between two hot plates. By pressing and ironing your hair strands together, straighteners deliver a straight result without volume, fullness or bounce. The InStyler's rotating heated polishing cylinder uses just enough heat to help style and straighten your hair but, because the cylinder is constantly moving, it doesn't cause undue heat damage. Instead, the InStyler's bristles comb and separate your hair, while the rotating motion of the heated cylinder polishes hair strands one by one with a smooth "buffing" action, delivering much more sheen, shine and body. This polishing allows the InStyler® to use less heat than straighteners yet still achieve fantastic results.

You can also use the InStyler®, Straighteners and hair styling
as a hair styling tool. The curvature of the heated polishing cylinder allows you to create flicks, curls and volume that you can't achieve with straighteners.

I need a lot of heat to straighten my hair. Will the InStyler® get hot enough?

The InStyler's unique design allows you to achieve fantastic styling and straightening results using much less heat than you may be used to with your hair straighteners or other hot tools. It's a totally new way of thinking about heat and your hair; you don't need the extreme heat to get the results you want. If you decide that you would like more heat, the InStyler®, Straighteners and hair styling
has three different temperature settings. Always start with the lowest setting and see how that works for you.

How do I use the InStyler®? Is it different to using straighteners?

The technique is similar: you place sections of your hair into the InStyler®, close it on your hair, and slowly move down the length of your hair. But that's where the similarities end. The rotating heated polishing cylinder and bristles do most of the work for you. Plus, you'll find that you can do much more with your InStyler® than with your straighteners.

Can I use the InStyler® like a curling iron?

Absolutely! Just wrap sections of your hair around the rotating heated polishing cylinder and close the InStyler® to create great curls.

The heated polishing cylinder rotates. Can my hair get tangled?

No. The surface of the rotating heated polishing cylinder is completely smooth, so your hair will not get tangled.

Who invented the InStyler®?

The InStyler® was invented by two hair stylists, who have both been in the industry for over 20 years, working with a team of engineers and product designers who have developed many high-tech products.

What is the cylinder's diameter?

It is 3cm (1.25 inches).

What are the bristles made of?

Heat-resistant nylon.

What is the power of the InStyler®?

The InStyler® is 220v-240v, 50 hertz and 45 watts.

How do I turn on the InStyler®?

Check to make sure your InStyler® is plugged in. Press the Power button. The LED bars should light and begin flashing. Once the LED stops flashing the InStyler® is ready to go. You must close the handle to begin the rotation.

How do I get my InStyler® to rotate?

You must close the handle to start the rotation. The rotation will start automatically.

Why does the InStyler's temperature LED start to flash?

It is normal for the heat to fluctuate during use. As long as the InStyler® has been allowed to reach full heat (steady LED), you can continue to use your InStyler® while it is flashing.

How do I clean my InStyler®?

When cleaning your InStyler®, disconnect it from the power source and make sure it has cooled. Wipe the outside surface using only a soft, damp cloth. Be sure to wring out all excess water before applying it to the InStyler®. Clean more severe dirt by using a soft, damp cloth with a small amount of soapy water. Make sure the InStyler® is completely dry before plugging it into any power source.
