If you are going abroad, you may need vaccinations or medicines to keep you and your family protected. To help, Boots is introducing a travel health service in selected stores.

When you travel to some countries, as well as the obligatory sun tan lotion and first aid kit, it may also be important to consider whether you and your family require vaccinations or additional medication.

To help with this aspect of your holiday planning, Boots has teamed up with MASTA, a leading travel health specialist, to provide you with a service you can trust.

Decide the level of health protection that's right for you

The steps you should take to protect your health while abroad depend on many factors:

• Where you are going.
• When and how long for.
• What you will be doing while you are there.
• Vaccinations you have already had.
• Any medical conditions you may have.

To be sure you are getting the right level of protection, Boots offer a travel health service tailored to you and your journey.

How does travel vaccinations service work?

Simply complete an online questionnaire and create your Travel Health Brief . Then, select an appropriate time for a MASTA nurse to call you to carry out a consultation and agree your Travel Health Plan. The nurse will book an appointment for you in your chosen Boots store* to have your vaccinations and if applicable to obtain your other travel medicines with advice from a Boots Pharmacy Travel Health Service pharmacist. Just follow these four simple steps:

1. Register with Boots Travel Health Service at MASTA.com.
2. Fill in the details about you and your journey.
3. Receive your free Travel Health Brief.
4. Book an appointment for a telephone consultation with a MASTA nurse to agree your travel health requirements. Book an appointment to have your vaccinations or receive your medicines in a Boots Travel Health Services store.**
5. Repeat this process for each individual travelling.

**A charge of ?20 for the consultation is required, which is then refunded against the cost of your vaccinations or medicines, which have a cost associated with them.
