How does the HoMedics Tanda ZAP skin acne treatment work?

Acne breakouts occur when hormonal changes cause our sebaceous glands to produce excess sebum (oil), P. acnes bacteria feed on the sebum and multiply, clogged pores trap the multiplying P. acnes bacteria and white blood cells move in to fight off the invading bacteria -the result, a spot. Blue LED light helps to kill acne-causing P. acnes bacteria, helping to clear existing blemishes and preventing future outbreaks.

The Zap uses a combination of powerful blue light with sonic vibration and gentle warming for clinically proven clearing results.

- Blue Light: 414nm blue light works by producing oxygen singlets which attach to the P.acnes bacteria (acne-causing bacteria). These singlets have a phototoxic effect on key porphorins, causing the P.acnes bacteria to self-destruct

- Sonic vibration: Increases microcirculation to reduce swelling and inflammation while agitating the skin to expose more of the bacteria to the light

- Gentle warming: Produced by the light energy, opens pores and allows the light to reach more bacteria

BFPO Delivery

Boots.com deliver to British Forces Post Office addresses. The charge for BFPO delivery is £6.00, this includes the cost of delivering your parcel to the BFPO sorting office and the charge applied for delivery to your address.

We can't ship aerosols to BFPO addresses. Aerosols will be intercepted and returned to us.

Please also note that certain areas carry specific weight restrictions and parcels over these weight limits are automatically returned to us.
Heavy/bulky Items £5.50 Orders containing bulky/heavy items are not available for free delivery or collect from store and are usually delivered within 5 working days.
