This is not a safety issue and the mould can be removed, however, we don't want our customers to purchase anything from us that's in less than perfect condition. Therefore we're asking that if you have purchased one of these diffusers you check your item and if you find any sign of mould on the reeds please return the complete set to your nearest Boots store for an alternative gift or a refund.

This product is suitable for the majority of babies but the presence of egg and wheat make it unsuitable for babies who are allergic/intolerant to wheat or egg and therefore they should not consume this product.

They've found that in some cases, the handle of the product can separate and the power cord may become detached. Please note this potential issue only affects batch code 1613 and 2613 from June 2013 onwards.

To help you see if your Tongs are affected, you can find the batch code stamped into the handle close to the supply cord entry. St. Tropez have recently been made aware that a very small number of customers have experienced inhalation issues with the newly launched cosmetic product, St.Tropez Instant Tan Wash Off Face & Body Spray* (100ml) in light/medium and medium/dark, when used under certain circumstances. This cosmetic, bronzing effect product has been launched in the last 7 weeks and as a precautionary measure, St.Tropez has decided to initiate a voluntary recall of the product.

Whilst the number of customers experiencing inhalation issues is very small, we would like to invite any customers who have purchased the product to return it to their nearest Boots store for a full refund or exchange.

We recently undertook a recall of SEVENTEEN Instant Glow Bronzing Spray and Soltan Beautiful Bronze Wash Off Instant Bronzer after a small number of customers experienced an adverse respiratory reaction following application. With the wellbeing and trust of our customers in mind, we have taken a decision to remove from sale two additional aerosol based self-tanning products, including Soltan Beautiful Bronze Self-Tan Dry Mist Spray and No 7 Perfectly Bronzed Self-Tan 360, whilst we conduct a full investigation into the concerns raised.

We would like to reassure our customers that this is purely a precautionary measure whilst we thoroughly investigate the situation. We once again confirm that these products meet all required safety and quality standards.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but hope our customers understand that their wellbeing is our first priority. Whilst the number of customers experiencing reactions is very small, we would like to invite any customers who have recently purchased them to return them to their nearest Boots store for a full refund.

Important product recall


Due to a potential quality issue with a component, the handle of certain BRITAX BABY-SAFE infant carriers can be damaged or, in adverse circumstances, detach, if sudden force is applied to the handle. This may result in the infant carrier to swing, to separate, to fall to the ground or to arrive in other unsafe situations when carrying the product. This can pose a risk of injury to the occupying child especially if it is – against the user instruction – not harnessed. The defect may not be recognised by the consumers instantly.


We are asking consumers that have purchased one of the potentially affected products to stop using it with immediate effect.


Certain BABY-SAFE infant carriers that were sold in Europe between 1 February and 31 March 2012 are affected. If you purchased your product prior to 1 February or after 31 March 2012, your BABY-SAFE is not affected. Only a small number of potentially affected products are in use with consumers.


Please note, the recall only relates to the BABY-SAFE but NOT to the BABY-SAFE plus II or the BABY-SAFE plus SHR II.

Boots Hot Water Bottles

We've discovered a potential safety problem with Boots hot water bottles, bought between October 2005 and January 2007.

Because our customers' safety is important to us we've stopped selling the affected Boots hot water bottles and we're asking customers to return them to us. We're taking this measure because we've identified that there is a risk of the bottle splitting during use.

The affected hot water bottles were all manufactured in 2005 and were coloured in cream, blue and red. To check if you have one of the affected hot water bottles, please look at the circle on the back of the neck of the bottle. If the number moulded in the inner circle is 05, please stop using this product and return it to your nearest Boots store where you'll receive a replacement.

If your hot water bottle is inside a cover, you only need return the hot water bottle for an exchange, as the cover isn't affected. If you've bought this item for someone else would you please let them know about this as soon as possible.

Church & Dwight UK LTD have brought to our attention that two batches of Stérimar – Isotonic 100ml, a natural isotonic sea water nasal spray, has had to be quarantined as it's unsuitable for sale. These batches (FE1248b and FE1249) may contain some microbiological contamination, which would have no impact for the majority of users. It could cause some users (for example, those who have had nasal or sinus surgery or who have a weaker immune system) to experience symptoms, which may lead to seeking medical advice.


As Boots and Church & Dwight UK LTD consider the health and safety of customers our number one priority, we've taken the decision to recall the affected batches immediately.


The only batch numbers affected are FE1248b and FE1249 of Stérimar – Isotonic 100ml.

HOT (UK) Ltd. who manufacture the Toni&Guy 38MM Jumbo Tongs, have discovered a potential safety issue with the above product. They've found that in some cases, the handle of the product can separate and the power cord may become detached. Please note this potential issue only affects batch code 1613 and 2613 from June 2013 onwards.

To help you see if your Tongs are affected, you can find the batch code stamped into the handle close to the supply cord entry. If you have an affected product please stop using it immediately and contact HOT (UK) Ltd. on their helpline or email address noted below. St. Tropez have recently been made aware that a very small number of customers have experienced inhalation issues with the newly launched cosmetic product, St.Tropez Instant Tan Wash Off Face & Body Spray* (100ml) in light/medium and medium/dark, when used under certain circumstances. This cosmetic, bronzing effect product has been launched in the last 7 weeks and as a precautionary measure, St.Tropez has decided to initiate a voluntary recall of the product.

Whilst the number of customers experiencing inhalation issues is very small, we would like to invite any customers who have purchased the product to return it to their nearest Boots store for a full refund or exchange.

If you've bought this for someone else would you please let them know about this as soon as possible. St.Tropez Instant Tan Wash Off Face & Body Lotion (100ml) is not affected by this voluntary recall, nor are any of their other products.

We recently undertook a recall of SEVENTEEN Instant Glow Bronzing Spray and Soltan Beautiful Bronze Wash Off Instant Bronzer after a small number of customers experienced an adverse respiratory reaction following application. With the wellbeing and trust of our customers in mind, we have taken a decision to remove from sale two additional aerosol based self-tanning products, including Soltan Beautiful Bronze Self-Tan Dry Mist Spray and No 7 Perfectly Bronzed Self-Tan 360, whilst we conduct a full investigation into the concerns raised.

We would like to reassure our customers that this is purely a precautionary measure whilst we thoroughly investigate the situation. We once again confirm that these products meet all required safety and quality standards.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but hope our customers understand that their wellbeing is our first priority. Whilst the number of customers experiencing reactions is very small, we would like to invite any customers who have recently purchased them to return them to their nearest Boots store for a full refund.

Important product recall


Due to a potential quality issue with a component, the handle of certain BRITAX BABY-SAFE infant carriers can be damaged or, in adverse circumstances, detach, if sudden force is applied to the handle. This may result in the infant carrier to swing, to separate, to fall to the ground or to arrive in other unsafe situations when carrying the product. This can pose a risk of injury to the occupying child especially if it is ? against the user instruction ? not harnessed. The defect may not be recognised by the consumers instantly.


We are asking consumers that have purchased one of the potentially affected products to stop using it with immediate effect.


Certain BABY-SAFE infant carriers that were sold in Europe between 1 February and 31 March 2012 are affected. If you purchased your product prior to 1 February or after 31 March 2012, your BABY-SAFE is not affected. Only a small number of potentially affected products are in use with consumers.


Please note, the recall only relates to the BABY-SAFE but NOT to the BABY-SAFE plus II or the BABY-SAFE plus SHR II.

Boots Hot Water Bottles

We've discovered a potential safety problem with Boots hot water bottles, bought between October 2005 and January 2007.

Because our customers' safety is important to us we've stopped selling the affected Boots hot water bottles and we're asking customers to return them to us. We're taking this measure because we've identified that there is a risk of the bottle splitting during use.

The affected hot water bottles were all manufactured in 2005 and were coloured in cream, blue and red. To check if you have one of the affected hot water bottles, please look at the circle on the back of the neck of the bottle. If the number moulded in the inner circle is 05, please stop using this product and return it to your nearest Boots store where you'll receive a replacement.

If your hot water bottle is inside a cover, you only need return the hot water bottle for an exchange, as the cover isn't affected. If you've bought this item for someone else would you please let them know about this as soon as possible.

Church & Dwight UK LTD have brought to our attention that two batches of Stérimar ? Isotonic 100ml, a natural isotonic sea water nasal spray, has had to be quarantined as it's unsuitable for sale. These batches (FE1248b and FE1249) may contain some microbiological contamination, which would have no impact for the majority of users. It could cause some users (for example, those who have had nasal or sinus surgery or who have a weaker immune system) to experience symptoms, which may lead to seeking medical advice.


As Boots and Church & Dwight UK LTD consider the health and safety of customers our number one priority, we've taken the decision to recall the affected batches immediately.


The only batch numbers affected are FE1248b and FE1249 of Stérimar ? Isotonic 100ml.


Please return this to any Boots store, at your earliest convenience, where our people in store will happily offer an exchange, for an alternative product, or a full refund.
