Product description

Corsodyl has a dual action approach:

Corsodyl's antibacterial ingredient attacks and helps to kill the plaque bacteria that are causing your gums irritation. It creates a protective layer over your teeth and gums for up to 12 hours, thus helping to prevent any new plaque from forming

Corsodyl can be used at all stages of gingivitis. Alongside flossing and brushing, a short 5-7 day course of Corsodyl can help kick-start your recovery from the early signs of gingivitis.

  • Treats & prevent gingivitis (gum disease - usual sign is gums that bleed when brushed)
  • Promotes gum healing after dental surgery or treatment
  • Controls mouth ulcers
  • Maintains mouth hygiene
  • Manages oral thrush & denture sore mouth

How to Use

Use twice daily. Fill cap to 10 ml line. Rinse mouth thoroughly for 1 minute then spit out.

Gum disease: One month course (600 ml) is recommended.

Mouth ulcers & oral thrush: Continue to use for 2 days after healing has occurred.

Denture sore mouth: Dentures should be cleansed & soaked in Corsodyl for 15 mins twice daily.

Dental surgery: Rinse as directed by your dentist.

Hazards and Cautions

Use only if you are not sensitive to chlorhexidine or any of the other listed ingredients.
Toothpastes may stop Corsodyl working properly if used immediately afterwards.
To prevent this, use toothpaste at a different time of day, or use toothpaste first, rinse thoroughly with water & wait 5 minutes before using Corsodyl.
When using Corsodyl, discolouration of the tongue & teeth may occur which is not permanent. Tongue staining disappears after treatment stops & tooth discolouration is normally removed by brushing. Staining can generally be avoided by:
1) not drinking tea, coffee or red wine - especially for the first hour after use
2) brushing daily with toothpaste before using Corsodyl
Should tooth discolouration remain, this can be removed by a simple scale & polish from your dentist or hygienist.
If discolouration of dentures occurs, clean with a conventional denture cleaner.
No special precautions are needed if you are pregnant or breast feeding but consult your dentist or doctor before use.

Individuals with known sensitivities should consult with their dentist before using.

Helps but tastes terrible... it helped me with my gums. but you need to be careful and read the label! at the beginning l thought l can use it everyday like normal mouth wash.. apparently it can stains your teeth! so you might end up with healthy gums and yellow teeth instead... :) overall good product 15 November 2012
Leaves you tasteless This product does the job as it says and clears up bleeding gums etc. But after using it a few times I noticed that things didn't taste the same, I would only recommend using this a few times a week as it is very strong and can leave a horrible taste in your mouth for a long time afterwards. 14 January 2014
Helps with gums but stains teeth I stopped smoking after 28 years and soon after that, as the gums began to heal and became softer (apparently gums harden up on smokers), I am experiencing bleeding gums which my dentist explains is an early sign of gum disease. I have some pocketing of the gums (small gaps which can harbour bacteria, making problem worse). I bought this product to help and whilst I think that it is, I have really started to notice that my teeth, fillings etc have a bit of brown staining on them. Now my mouth looks like I am a 20 a day person again. Have stopped using this product as I now need another trip to the dentist for a scale and polish. 01 March 2014
