Product description

Colour Restore Iced Platinum Hair Toner with Anti Yellow Infusion is a new way to control pigment levels within colour treated hair.
Keratin, the hairs’ natural protein, is yellow in colour. When hair is bleached or heavily lightened the natural pigment is stripped away and the keratin exposed, this is why hair can look ‘brassy’ or ‘yellow’.
  • Colour Restore replenishes and returns hair colour to its former glory without the need to use a peroxide or ammonia based colouran
  • Simple to use, just rinse through (like a shampoo) to maintain tone or leave in for up to 25 minutes for deeper tonal results.
  • Using a concentration of complex violet tone, Colour Restore Iced Platinum counteracts yellow or brassy tones to create crisp, cool, pure white blonde shade
  • Contains no ammonia, no peroxide, no harsh chemicals
  • Creates perfect iced white results in naturally high grey or bleached base shades
  • Replenishes cool tones in highlighted hair
  • Can be used immediately after perming, colour removal, straightening or bleaching.

MIRACLE PRODUCT FOR HAIR DYE DISASTERS I've been dying my hair for years and I decided to go platinum blonde (I'm naturally medium blonde.) I used Loreal Féria L02 Super Platinum Power. BIG MISTAKE. Came out gingery yellow. In order to save my hair I used this product and my hair went from this aweful canary yellow colour with ginger roots to a sexy platinum blonde in 25 minutes. The mixture was creamy and really easy to apply. There was no smell. It comes already mixed together so it is reusable. A bit pricey but it's worth it. I'm so pleased with how my hair has turned out and I would recommend it to anyone. Really happy :) 26 August 2013
PLEASE READ BECAUSE THIS IS GREAT!!!!! I wanted my hair platnuim blonde so i went to my hairdresser and she bleached it. overnight it went that yellow blonde which was ok but not what i wanted.( bear in mind i am black afro caribbean and have a low level1 cut hair). i read the review on this product and bought it straight away and for me it work it took away that yellow look and gave me a white blonde like emeli sande. now if you want silver platnuim blonde you will need to find something else but this product does work. i left it in for over 30minute although it said 20min but wanted to make sure it went white blonde. remeber it meant to give your hair back colour cus bleach takes all the goodness from you hair..LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!!!! 22 September 2013
Works well but ridiculously expensive! My natural hair is a mixture of mid brown with approx 80% grey particularly around the front and sides. Its a mid length, thick and quite dry and coarse. For years I had been dyeing my hair dark brown but it was a nightmare keeping up with the grey roots, which literally became visible within days of dyeing. So, about a year ago I decided to go gradually blonde starting with highlights and covering the regrowth with light ash blonde dye to acheive what is now an all over dark ash blonde colour. This is great for me as the root growth is not so visible and I can go up to a month now without covering as apposed to it being a Sunday morning ritual each week! However, the ends and lengths of my hair tend to get brassy looking over time, I use a bluey purple shampoo but this can make the hair go a bit greenish/khaki coloured. The first time I used Colour Restore I went for the Cool Ash one. It was really good for knocking out the brassy colours but it did make the rest of my hair much darker which, while this was a nice colour, I don't want darker hair due to the visible root growth situation....So next I tried the Iced Platinum one. It does say on the packaging that this only works on very light blonde hair, but I figured that the blue pigmentation in the toner might help with the brassy darker bits so gave it a go. It is FANTASTIC!!! The first use I left on for about 30 mins because i know my hair does not grab toner very well and am not really too bothered if any of it goes blue as I would quite like that effect. It really took out loads of the brassiness, and the lighter areas were a beautiful light whiteish blonde! There were no blue bits either. Unfortunately the next wash reduced the effect significantly, so I have now used this twice more in succession leaving it on for up to 45 minutes each time. My hair is now a great mix of white ashey tones with darker ashey tones mixed through and no visible root growth yet even though if I look very closely I can see that there is a grey root line there but it has blended in beautifully! And my frazzled fried and heat abused hair is shiney and so soft. This product is excellent at achieving ash tones, but doesnt last as it is only a toner. It conditions while it colours but if you are like me and have thick hair you will only get at best 3 uses from the tube and at the price, it is expensive. This is the only downside and very frustrating as this seems to be the ONLY product on the market which does as it claims. I wish there were some way of making the colour last!!! 01 April 2013
