Information & Advice
It's the one you've been waiting for - you're primped, pampered and ready to party! We've got tips from the beauty experts to make sure you sparkle on the dance floor, from your glossy locks to the tip of your manicured fingers. Let's get gorgeous, this Christmas!
A durable make up base is essential for any party perfect Christmas angel, to make sure you stay looking flawless from the dance floor right through to the after, after party! Buff a long - lasting foundation onto the skin with a foundation brush, followed by a mattifying powder. Pink-toned blush adds a stunning winter glow.
For an extra special touch, sweep a touch of shimmer to the brow bone, cheeks and down the centre of the nose to illuminate the face and light up the room!
As well as the smudgy smoky eye and luxurious, gold shadows, ?peacock eyes? are on trend this season, as seen on the catwalks of Roberto Cavalli.
For this modern twist on the classic smoky eye, use peacock colours like emeralds and violets blended together with a rounded eye shadow brush. For a more intense colour, try applying the rich, jewel shades with a wet brush.
Pencil liners with a sponge on one end are perfect for gently smudging the eye liner onto the lash line, creating a dramatic edge to the peacock eyes effect. Finish with lashings of mascara to really make a lasting impression!
A strong eye look works really well with an understated, pink-beige lip. Use a lip brush to apply a nude lipstick for a precise finish that enhances your natural lip colour. A sheer pink lip gloss with a slight shimmer will add a hint of colour and luscious shine, while making lips appear fuller and all the more kissable!
You won't be waiting long, under the mistletoe!
Whether you want to go sleek and sophisticated or uber-glam with tumbling curls, make sure you use a smoothing heat protection spray before using a styling tool. This keeps the cuticles of the hair flat and protected, which gives you that enviable shine.
Big, bouncy curls are a timeless party look. Once you have curled a section of hair with a large-barrelled tong, wrap it in the same direction around a Velcro roller, to set the curls. Remove after the hair has cooled and tousle with hairspray for sexy, voluminous tresses.
The Christmas party is the perfect occasion to add some glitz to your manicure. One way to add some show-stopping sparkle is with 3D nail wraps, they're quick, easy and eye-catching. Over a silver nail polish, apply to a dry, oil-free nail and seal with a long lasting clear polish for nails that dazzle.
Another way to add a touch of elegant twinkle to your nails is to create a sophisticated gradient effect by dabbing a glitter polish on to the tips with a sponge. Add chunkier glitter to the very ends and finish with a top coat.
