How to apply the treatment:

  • Pre-treatment: Shampoo hair to ensure it is clean, but do not use conditioner. Use comb provided to remove all tangles.
  • Step 1: Make sure you are wearing the gloves provided and take care to cover any fabrics and clothing with a towel. Section your hair and starting from the back, apply the Straightening Treatment evenly from root to tip covering all of your hair. Try to avoid your scalp if possible. Dependent on the length of hair, you may not use all of the treatment. Just dispose of any product you do not use. Use comb to keep hair straight and tangle-free throughout. You have 20 minutes from the moment you apply the Straightening Treatment to when you need to rinse it out. After 20 minutes, leave your gloves on and rinse hair thoroughly. Ensure comb is clean before applying the Conditioning Neutraliser. The treatment will give off a distinctive smell during application. This is nothing to worry about and shows that the product is working.
  • Step 2: Squeeze out any excess water before applying the Conditioning Neutraliser. Apply the product as you would a normal hair conditioner. Use the comb provided to keep hair straight and tangle-free and ensure even coverage, this is important as this stage activates the treatment. Leave for 5 minutes before rinsing thoroughly.
  • Finishing touches: Blow dry hair over a brush, pointing the hairdryer downwards to give your hair a straighter and smoother finish. It is not essential, but to get the best effect use the heat of straightening irons to seal in the treatment. Do not wash or tie hair up for 48 hours to allow your new straight style to set. When you next wash your hair, follow your shampoo with the nourishing After Care Conditioner provided, to help keep your hair straight and smooth for longer.

Charles Worthington Salon at Home Straight & Smooth for coloured hair is not suitable for hair that has been bleached in the last 2-3 years, including highlights and very light colour shades. Also not recommended for extremely damaged hair.

Boots.com deliver to British Forces Post Office addresses. The charge for BFPO delivery is £6.00, this includes the cost of delivering your parcel to the BFPO sorting office and the charge applied for delivery to your address.
