What is CB12?

Rather than just disguising bad breath, help get rid of it completely for up to 12 hours at a time with CB12 mouth rinse.

Bad breath, also known as halitosis, can affect anyone at any age. It is thought that over 50% of the UK population has persistent bad breath. CB12 is a new mouth rinse which helps to neutralise and prevent bad breath for up to 12 hours.

What causes bad breath?

Bad breath is usually caused by bacteria in the oral cavity around the teeth and gums as well as at the back of the tongue. When these bacteria break down food, smelly gases known as volatile sulphur compounds (VSCs) are formed which can then cause bad breath. There are three different VSC gases. Some foods and diets are particularly linked to VSCs, including dairy products and a diet rich in protein.

How does CB12 work?

CB12 mouth rinse binds itself to the tissues in the oral cavity, helping to neutralise the gases and preventing the VSC gases from forming. Because CB12 works by combatting the gases rather than the bacteria itself, it targets the root cause of bad breath, rather than just covering it up.

By combining the active ingredients zinc acetate and chlorhexidine in low doses, CB12 is the first mouth rinse to combat all three parts of VSCs associated with bad breath. Clinical studies have shown that it is effective for at least 12 hours.
