It is recommended that you charge your Sonicare for 24 hours before first use. However, if you really want to try it, a two-minute brushing can be obtained after just one hour of charging. To ensure your Sonicare batteries are fully charged, it is recommended that you keep your Sonicare in the charger during the first few days of use.
Dental professionals recommend brushing for no less than two minutes, twice daily. That's why the Sonicare's timer indicates that the brushing cycle is complete by automatically turning off the toothbrush at the end of the two-minute brushing cycle.
You cannot overcharge your Sonicare toothbrush. When not in use, store it in the charger base, plugged in, for maximum battery life. Your brush will retain a charge for approximately two weeks of normal use (that's a two-minute brushing twice a day) without charging.
Sonicare recommends that you replace your brush head every three months to achieve optimal results.
