Information & Advice
Chic and classic, the bouncy blow-dry never goes out of style. A staple style on the red carpet, it re-emerged on the catwalk yet again this season, when models at Chloe's S/S12 show demonstrated its eternal appeal.
Top stylist Angelo Seminara, Trevor Sorbie protégé and international creative director, who has worked with Sophie Dahl, Yasmin Le Bon and Gwyneth Paltrow, shows us how it's done.
After shampooing and conditioning, blot hair dry so you don't ruffle the cuticle and cause frizziness. Apply a smoothing styling product (try John Frieda Straight Fixation Smoothing Créme) and rough dry to remove most of the moisture.
Next, spray Trevor Sorbie Beautiful Curls Curl Constructor into the hair roots to help add volume when blow-drying. Comb through your hair with your fingers while gently drying it on a low setting. This removes excess water.
Put your hair into three sections, two at the sides and one at the back. Clip the two sides up.
Apply rollers to add volume and to create a bouncy blow-dry. (Try Trevor Sorbie Self-Grip Velcro Rollers.
Warm a few drops of serum (try TRESemme Salon Smooth Serum) between palms and smooth on to hair to banish any stray ends and add shine.
