Boots Value Health Glycerin B.P (Glycerol) - 200ml. For the relief of coughs and soreness of the throat. May also be used to relieve dry skin conditions.

How to Use

Read all of the label for full instructions.

Check the cap seal is not broken before first use. If it is, do not use the medicine.

This medicine can be swallowed or used on the skin.

To relieve coughs and sore throats: Mix the amount given below with a little water and drink slowly.

Adults and children of 12 years and over: Two 5ml spoonfuls, diluted in water. Give this amount 3 or 4 times a day.

Children of 5 to 11 years: One 5 ml spoonful, dilluted in water. Give this amount 3 or 4 times a day.

Children of 1 to 4 years: Half a 5ml teaspoon, diluted in water. Give this amount 3 or 4 times a day.

Do not give to children under 1 year.

To relieve dry skin:

Adults and children: Apply to the affected area of skin undiluted or mixed with a little water. If symptoms do not go away talk to your local pharmacist or doctor.

If you need more advice ask your pharmacist.

Before you use this medicine:

Do not use:

  • If you are allergic to glycerol.

Talk to your pharmacist or doctor:

  • If you have diabetes
  • If you are dehydrated or become dehydrated.

You can use this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Possible side effects:

Most people will not have problems but some may get some of these:

  • Feeling sick, being sick, headache
  • Less frequently, diarrhoea, thirst, dizziness.

If any side effect becomes severe, or you notice any side effect not listed here, please tell your pharmacist or doctor.

Keep all medicines out of the sight and reach of children.

Use by the date on the label edge.
