How to Use
Please read the enclosed leaflet for further information.
IMPORTANT: Only use this medicine if you answer YES to the next 2 questions:
- Do you have heavy periods? - do you have difficulty avoiding leakage (flooding), do you use double sanitary protection (tampons and towels), do you change your sanitary protection every 2 hours or more often, do your periods prevent you from doing normal activities?
- Are your periods regular? - is the number of days between the start of one period and the start of the next between 21 to 35 days and about the same number of days each time?
See your doctor if you are unsure.
Dosage: For oral use only. Do not take this medicine until your period has started. Take 2 tablets 3 times daily for up to 4 days. If the bleeding is very heavy take 2 tablets 4 times daily for up to 4 days.
DO NOT TAKE MORE THAN 8 TABLETS PER DAY.
Not suitable for children and adolescents under 18 years.
Hazards and Cautions
Do not store above 25°C.
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Do not use:
- If you are allergic to tranexamic acid or any of the other ingredients in this medicine.
- If you are under 18 years old.
- If your periods are irregular.
- If you are pregnant.
- If you are taking the combined oral contraceptive "the pill".
- If you have kidney disease.
- If you have blood in your urine between periods.
- If you or your family have ever had blood clots in your blood vessels.
- If you are taking an anti-blood clot medicine (e.g. warfarin).
