Information & Advice
The tester: Heather Wilson, of Northern Ireland, mum to three-month-old Sarah
What she said:
"I have never owned a baby monitor before – now it is one of those things that I as a parent could not live without! I loved being able to see baby as she settles down to sleep, and I have spent quite a bit of time just watching her on the screen! Being able to hear and see her gives me reassurance and peace of mind, and I have found that I have been able to relax a lot more and get on with things while she sleeps.
Overall, I think that this product is fantastic and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to other mums – it really is a worthwhile investment for anybody with a new baby!"
Heather found the instructions were easy to follow and the camera easy to assemble, although attaching it to the cot was a little awkward. She thought the monitor picked up sound well and the audio transmission was clear with only minimal static.
She tried the monitor all over the house and even outside – although close to the house – and found it only dropped out of range briefly. She loved the fact the camera plays lullabies although she would have liked a volume control. "The lullabies are quite loud if baby is sleeping," she says.
Heather's score: 8.5/10

The tester: Alison McBride, 37, of Hertfordshire, mum to Callum eight, Sasha, three, and Finbar, one
What she said:
"We have really enjoyed using the Munchkin 10 Piece Dining Set. Upon unpacking, the children loved the colours and were keen to give the set a go. "Firstly I was impressed with the excellent quality of the product for such a reasonable price. To have purchased them individually would have cost much more. "The bowls have suction bottoms which, unlike other brands I have tried in the past, actually stick to the table and no amount of pulling from my youngest son dislodged them. My walls and floor are very grateful!
"The lids snap on really securely which is great for going out and about as there is no leakage. There is also a lovely selection of spoons which are nice and soft for little mouths. "The cups are perfect for small hands to grip and the lids are again secure but easy to dismantle for washing.
"All in all I think they are a great buy."

The tester: Faye Barnes, from Kent, mum to 14-month-old Thomas
What she said:
"My 12 month old can be quite a fussy eater, so I was really surprised how much he enjoyed this meal, finishing the whole jar almost. The texture was just right too and it tasted good. This isn't the kind of product I would usually buy as I tend to stick to organic brands. However I'd buy this one again and would definitely recommend trying it."

"This jar of food is fairly textured, with chunks of vegetables, so it's good for practicing chewing skills. It's also looks very filling. My toddler wasn't able to finish the jar but seemed to enjoy what he had."

"Coming in four little bags inside a big packet, these were handy to take with us when we were out and about. They are the perfect size for tots' little hands, being easy to hold and explore. The texture is slightly dry so it's a good idea to have a drink handy while your little one is getting used to this kind of snack."

What she said:
"This product is really nice. It has a nice, thick, creamy consistency and feels really silky on your skin. It takes quite a long time to sink in because it's so rich. It's perfect if you want to use it before bed."

"The moisturiser was brilliant and again, gave a wonderful fresh tingly feeling after use.
"I hadn't used Nelsons' facial products before and will most definitely be buying them again. Being 36, my only concern would be that my skin might require an anti-ageing cream at night to help tackle the appearance of wrinkles, but am delighted to use this moisturiser during the day. I have been recommending this to the other members of my family and friends already!"

The tester: Lucy Fargher from Northumberland, mum to seven-month-old twin boys Aidan and Daniel
What she said:
"As with all the Burt's Bees products, this smelled really lovely. Other brands have left Aidan's skin irritated. However, he was absolutely fine with Burt?s Bees. Burt's Bees are perhaps slightly more expensive than other brands – but I don't think mums mind paying more on baby products. The shampoo has a 'tear free' formula? and we haven't had any tears so far!"
Lucy's score: 9/10.

"This oil smells of apricots – it's amazing. I used it to give the boys a baby massage and they seemed to enjoy it. It left their skin feeling lovely and soft. It's really moisturising. I prefer it to other oils I've tried."

"Our boys love being bathed and this helped make their bath more fun. You don't need to use a lot of it, which means the product lasts for quite a while, and it has a lovely smell. The boys were swimming around in it and got some in their mouths but that doesn't seem to have been a problem!"

The tester: Lisa Lambert, of Somerset, who has three children aged between six and six months
What she said:
"What she said: "This product is fantastic – it's absolutely wonderful. It's like a large, soft towel with press studs which fasten around your neck. It covers you as well as the baby. When you lift them out of the bath, it stops you from getting wet and lets you dry them. It's got a little hood for them, it's really absorbent and it's the softest towel. I wish I'd thought of it myself! I'd definitely recommend this, without a doubt. Every parent should have one."
