The following frequently asked questions should help answer your Advantage Card queries.

I need to amend my personal details

How do I amend my personal details?

You can easily change your details by visiting My Boots Advantage Card Account

How can I register/cancel/change my organ donor status via Boots Advantage Card?

Boots Organ Donor registration is run in partnership with NHS Blood and Transplant.

If you would like to amend your details, register specific organs or remove yourself from the NHS Organ Donor Register please contact the Organ Donor Line on 0300 123 23 23 or visit their website. If you would also like the symbol removing from your Boots Advantage Card, please contact the Boots Boots Advantage Card team on 0845 124 4545*

New/replacement card queries

What happens if my Boots Advantage Card is lost, stolen or damaged?

If your Boots Advantage Card is lost, stolen or damaged we can send you a replacement Boots Advantage Card and transfer your old points balance onto it.

To report a card lost or stolen, log into your Boots Advantage Card account and visit 'Order a new card' to fill out the online form.

I have a replacement Boots Advantage Card, how do I register the number to my account?

If you have a replacement Boots Advantage Card, your account should automatically be updated. If it is not, please contact the Boots Advantage Card team on 0845 124 4545.*

I already have a temporary Boots Advantage Card from store but want a permanent card

To get a permanent Boots Advantage Card, sign up today. If you have any questions, contact the Boots Advantage Card Team on 0845 124 4545*. They will be able to order a permanent Boots Advantage Card for you.

I have not received my permanent Boots Advantage Card

If it has been more than three weeks since you applied, please call the Boots Advantage Card team on 0845 124 4545.*

I have received my permanent card, what happens to the points on my temporary card?

All of your points should have been credited to your account and will be automatically transferred to you permanent card. If you do not think this has happened, please call the Boots Advantage Card team on 0845 124 4545.*

Please destroy your temporary card as soon as you have received your permanent card in the post.

I have a Republic of Ireland (ROI) Boots Advantage Card, can I use it in the UK?

Unfortunately, ROI Boots Advantage Cards cannot be used in the UK Boots stores.

If you want to change your details over the phone or have any questions about your ROI Boots Advantage Card, please contact the ROI Boots Advantage Card Team on 1 890 200085.*

Can I use my UK Boots Advantage Card in the Republic of Ireland?

Unfortunately, UK Boots Advantage Cards cannot be used in ROI Boots stores.

Registering on boots.com and collecting my points

How do I retrieve the points I've collected when shopping online?

Your points will be automatically credited to your Boots Advantage Card account up to five days after you make your purchase on boots.com.

Points awarded from other Boots partners e.g. Treat Street may take longer. Please refer to the relevant websites for full details.

You can see your points balance by logging into your Boots Advantage Card account online, at the bottom of your till receipt in store or by visiting the Extra Offers Kiosk.

I received a temporary Boots Advantage Card in store, why can't I register it with my boots.com account?

Unfortunately, you can't register your temporary Boots Advantage Card with your boots.com account. However, you can still collect points online by entering your temporary Boots Advantage Card number at checkout. Your temporary Boots Advantage Card number is the nine-digit number on the back.

Collecting Boots Advantage Card points

How do I collect points with my temporary Boots Advantage Card?

When I've signed up in store?

There is a temporary paper Boots Advantage Card on the front of your application form. When you're in store, simply hand this over when you pay at the till and your points will be added automatically to your temporary Boots Advantage Card account.

To collect points online, you will need to enter your temporary Boots Advantage Card number at the checkout when you are making a purchase. Your temporary Boots Advantage Card number is the nine-digit number on the back.

You will need to wait for your permanent Boots Advantage Card to register this with your boots.com account.

When I've signed up online?

If you printed out a barcode, simply hand this over to be scanned when you make a purchase in store. If you are in store and you did not print out a barcode, just ask for your receipts to be validated and you can add them onto your Boots Advantage Card at a later date. You have 45 days from the date of your transaction to add your points onto your Boots Advantage Card, simply ask the cashier at the till to do this for you.

How do I collect points online with my permanent Boots Advantage Card?

Once you've signed up to Boots Advantage Card, you can start collecting points on almost everything you purchase.

There are two ways to collect points online:

  1. You can register your permanent Boots Advantage Card to your account. You can do this at any time by clicking link a Boots Advantage Card to my account
  2. Alternatively, you can simply fill in your Boots Advantage Card number at checkout to collect points. However, you will have to do this for each separate transaction

If you are using a Boots Advantage Card that belongs to someone else, then type the number in at the checkout so you can collect points on their behalf, don't register it to your account.

How do I collect points in store with my permanent Boots Advantage Card?

When you get to the till, hand your Boots Advantage Card to the cashier along with the products you are purchasing. Your points will be instantly added to your card.

Can I still collect my points if I have forgotten my Boots Advantage Card?

If you are shopping in store and have forgotten your Boots Advantage Card, ask the cashier to validate your receipt when you make a purchase. If a receipt is validated, you can bring it into any Boots store with your Boots Advantage Card and the points can be transferred from your receipt onto your card. This must be done within 45 days of making your purchase.

My points balance

How do I check my points balance in store?

There's an Boots Advantage Card points statement at the bottom of your till receipt, which will tell you how many points you have collected with each purchase and how many you have collected all together. You can also find out your balance at the Extra Offers Kiosk.

How do I check my points balance online?

To check your points online, you'll need to sign up to boots.com and register your Boots Advantage Card with your account. Once registered and logged in, your points balance will show at the top of the page.

Spending points

How do I spend my points?

You can spend your points any time on almost anything in store and get that wonderful 'I've paid with my points feeling'. When you get to the till, simply hand over your Boots Advantage Card and let the cashier know you would like to pay with points. You cannot part-pay with Boots Advantage Card points, so you'll need the full amount of points for the product you choose. For example 199 points will pay for a product priced at £1.99. The total price in points will then be deducted from your Boots Advantage Card balance.

You can spend your points on boots.com by selecting 'Checkout with points' when reviewing your basket.

If you would like to buy a range of products from boots.com but only have enough points to cover the cost of one of the items, you can do the following:

  1. Move the items you would like to pay for using money to 'Purchase later', simply check the box next to each item
  2. Select 'Checkout with points' for the item/s you would now like to pay for with your Boots Advantage Card points
  3. If you have enough points on your Boots Advantage Card account you can choose whether you pay for your delivery with points or money, we will highlight all your delivery options that you can pay for with Boots Advantage Card points. If you have spent £45 or over you will qualify for our free delivery service
  4. You can then go into your 'Purchase later' list and buy your remaining items with money

To spend points on boots.com, you must first register your Boots Advantage Card. You must have enough points on your Boots Advantage Card account to cover the cost of the products you wish to purchase. You will need a permanent Boots Advantage Card to be able to spend your points, to sign up for a permanent Boots Advantage Card visit our sign up page. You cannot spend Boots Advantage Card points with our third party retailers, including Treat Street and Boots Kitchen Appliances.

I bought an item using my points, am I still entitled to an exchange/refund?

Yes. If you are taking an item back into store, please ensure you bring the Boots Advantage Card which was used in the transaction so the points can be credited back onto the account. Our standard refund policy applies for the item/s.

What is My Offers?

We've brought together a set of offers and news that are just for you. From special offers that are tailored to you to letting you know about the latest and greatest offers available in our stores this week, you'll find all you need here. Your offers get updated all the time, so keep coming back to see what's new for you.

How do I use My Offers? Do I need to print out coupons or codes?

Once you've found an offer you would like to use, simply select it and it'll be immediately loaded on to your Boots Advantage Card, ready for you to redeem in store. No need for paper coupons or codes, just all the fantastic offers you want at your fingertips. Please note, you will need a Boots Advantage Card to access My Offers.

Can I use my personalised offers online?

Unfortunately, your personalised offers are only available to use in store and cannot be redeemed on boots.com, through in-store ordering or any partnering sites.

What if I have to change my Boots Advantage Card?

Don't worry – if you get a new card with a different number on it, we'll automatically make adjustments so you'll continue to receive all of your offers.

Can I forward offers to friends and family?

As we've specially selected these offers just for you, unfortunately you can't forward them on to friends or family. But, why not get them to sign up for a Boots Advantage Card so they can access their own great offers?

How do I know when offers expire?

You'll see an expiry date on every offer.

Clubs and schemes

How do I sign up for More Treats for Over 60s or Parenting Club?

To sign up for extra benefits online, you will need to have a boots.com account and sign up for and register your Boots Advantage Card. During your Boots Advantage Card application, you'll get the chance to sign up to Parenting Club or More treats for Over 60s (for customers aged 60 or over).

If you already have a boots.com account and a Boots Advantage Card, you will need to log in and visit the 'My Boots Advantage Card account' and click the Parenting Club or Over 60s logos.

You can also use one of our Extra Offers Kiosks to sign up for extra benefits, just insert your permanent Boots Advantage Card and follow the instructions on screen.

You can also call the Boots Advantage Card team on 0845 124 45454* who will be happy to help you sign up to any extra benefits that you are eligible for.

I haven't received anything from Parenting Club since I joined

It can take four to six weeks for you to initially receive your welcome pack from Boots Parenting Club. If it has been longer than six weeks, please contact Customer Care on 0845 124 45 45.*

I haven't received anything regarding More Treats for Over 60s since I signed up

It can take four to six weeks for you to initially receive your welcome pack from More Treats for Over 60s. If it has been longer than six weeks, please contact Customer Care on 0845 124 45 45.*

I signed up to Parenting Club but I'm not receiving my 10 points for every £1 when I shop for baby products in store

When you receive your welcome pack you will receive a voucher which must be taken in store and scanned at the till. This will activate the 10 points, crediting them to your Boots Advantage Card. If you have lost this voucher, please speak to a colleague in store and they will be able to activate the points deal at the till.

I signed up to Parenting Club but I'm not receiving my 10 points for every £1 when I shop for baby products online

Please make sure you have registered your details correctly online and your account recognises you as a member of Boots Parenting Club. If your account details are correct, please call Customer Care on 0845 124 45 45* and they will be able to assist you.

I signed up to More Treats for Over 60s but I'm not receiving my 10 points for every £1 when I shop for Boots branded and No7 products in store

When you receive your welcome pack, you will receive a coupon which must be taken into store and scanned in at the till. This will activate the 10 points, crediting them to your Boots Advantage Card. If you have lost this voucher, please speak to a colleague in store.

I signed up to More Treats for Over 60s but I'm not receiving my 10 points for every £1 when I shop for Boots branded and No7 products online

Unfortunately, the More Treats for Over 60s extra benefits are not currently available when shopping online.

I no longer want to be a member of a club

If you no longer want to be a member of either Boots Parenting Club or More Treats for Over 60s, you can either amend your details on boots.com, use the Boots Advantage Card Kiosk in store or call Boots Customer Care on 0845 124 4545.*

Where can I pick up a Health & Beauty Magazine?

As a Boots Advantage Card member, you can pick up a free copy of our Health & Beauty magazine in most Boots stores, six times a year. If you are not a member of Boots Advantage Card, the magazine costs £1.

How do Boots use my data?

We only share your details with companies in the Alliance Boots group and businesses that process Boots Advantage Card information on our behalf (in the UK and abroad), for example to produce your Boots Advantage Card and print our mailings. We will analyse your purchase history to provide you with relevant and personalised offers, information and advice, in order to help you to choose products that are right for you.
