The Boots Pharmaceutical sraised toilet seat has been designed to provide assistance with toileting and is particualrly useful for those who find it difficult to rise from a toilet position themselves on a toilet from standing. with a comfortable and contoured seat, it allows for even weight distribution and its wide frontal opening will help personal cleansing.
Easy to use, it will fit most standard toilets, the seat secures firmly onto the existing toilet bowl and will raise the height of the existing toilet by 10cm (4"). With adjustable side brackets, the seat can be fitted without the need for tools.
For optimum use and comfort, measure the distance from the floor to the back of the users knee. This measurement should be the height of the toilet plus the height of the raised seat. This will then ensure that the knee is at a 90 degree angle when the user is seated.
The Boots Pharmaceuticals raised toilet seat is fitted to the toilet bowl, not the existing toilet seat.
Prior to installation, ensure that the existing toilet seat assembly is fitted securely and is not damaged. Lift the lid and seat of the existing toilet seat prior to installation and fit the raised toilet seat to the bowl of the toilet (not the existing toilet seat).
1. Place the Boots Pharmaceuticals raised toilet seat upside down with the top lid down, onto a flat surface.
2. Slip one of the L – shaped brackets into one of the slots on the side of the raised toilet seat. Then push lightly on the bracket and turn the knob clockwise, until the thread engages. Repeat this with the second bracket on the opposite side of the seat.
3. Turn the Boots Pharmaceuticals raised toilet seat over and place it onto the existing toilet bowl, ensuring the brackets fall on the outside of the bowl. Note: The end with the narrow opening should be placed at the front end of the bowl and the brackets are placed near the back of the bowl.
4. Once it is in place, tighten both brackets until they are snug against the existing toilet bowl and the seat is safe and secure.
All parts can be cleaned with household disinfectant, including the adjusting screws and brackets. The screws can be popped out of the brackets for cleaning
